Dr. Garfinkel has a relaxed manner and answers your questions clearly. I need an injection in one eye every four months, and there is rarely any discomfort associated with it.

Absolutely would recommend him! Dr. Garfinkle saved my husband's eyesight several years ago. My husband's ophthalmologist, Dr. Mark Falls, was able to get an emergency appointment with Dr. Garfinkle the same day he visited Dr. Falls, because my husband had a severely detached retina. I have also visited Dr. Falls and Dr. Garfunkle when Dr. Falls noticed that I had a macular pocket that had severely affected my right eye.

My wife and I both have been seeing Dr. Garfinkel for years now at his Fairfax location (for two different issues). The facility is well-organized and run. Dr. Garfinkel is a very friendly doctor, but gets right to business, a person who makes good use of time. He explains technical issues in very clear, easy-to-understand language, and listens carefully to any questions or concerns you might have. For us, he's the perfect retinologist.

Dr. Garfinkel performed a laser procedure on my retina a number of years ago and has followed up yearly since. Dr. Garfinkel also treated my wife's macular degeneration, providing great ways to control it. He is professional and friendly. His staff is also excellent.
