Dr. Richard Denicola, MD

Had 3 visits - initial, the procedure, and follow up. Avoids any questions or comments that may contradict his view. Confrontational when questioned. Does not explain possible explanations for unknown problems unless you probe him for more information, which he does not like. Jefferson has many great GI specialists - skip this one and see someone else. This doctor needs courses in communication, patience and empathy.

Went there on xmas eve. checked me out he said problem might be nothing but just to be sure set me up for ultra sound a doctor that covers all the bases not to many around these days.

Dr. Denicola listens and talks to you not at you. He explains results, procedures and medications clearly. I appreciate that he will go over any side effects or concerns without rushing the appointment. I am doing so much better with my stomach issues and have the utmost confidence in him.

I had my second appointment with Dr. Denicola this past week, and I have found him to be an excellent doctor. He is both knowledgeable and personable. He listened attentively to all of my concerns as I described my symptoms, and asked pertinent questions. I never felt rushed. He explained each test he ordered and why he ordered them in way that was easy to understand without being condescending. My health has improved greatly since I first saw him; I trust his judgment and recommend him highly!
