I was nervous about this appointment. My biggest concern was that I would be treated like a number, and the neurosurgeon wouldn't pay attention or show interest in listening to my individual concerns and questions. Dr. Cook definitely put my mind at ease. He was patient, professional, and kind. I had quite a few questions, and he answered every one of them without making me feel like I was was wasting his time. He also took the time to show and explain my MRI to me, in detail. His confidence and knowledge made me feel much more secure. I have a couple more questions now, as I have continued to learn more about my injury, but I feel confident asking them at my pre-op appointment coming up, knowing I will be treated with compassion and professionalism.
