Made a real difference in my life, I depend on him
I could not say more, or assign higher accolades to Dr. Card and his office in Pulaski. Several years ago he diagnosed me with rheumatoid arthritis. At that time I had to have help from my wife to remove some of my clothing and was experiencing pain and stiffness and as an artist I was worried if I could continue to paint and draw. Over the last few years beginning with an all night of pain so intense I needed to sit upright on the couch all night and couldn't escape, no matter how I twisted or turned, and I had no idea as to what was happening. Dr. Card and his staff have made all the difference in my life and I am doing fine thanks to him. I see Dr. Card as a world class doctor that I am lucky enough to have as a physician in my small home town of Pulaski. Needless to say I give him the highest of recommendations for you reading this, and as for me I will continue to depend on his expertise going into my eighties. THANK YOU DR.CARD AND EVERYONE AT NEW RIVER MEDICAL GROUP!

A disappointing experience
I went to Dr. Card a few years for my Medicare wellness checks. I liked him because he was friendly and a good listener. On Sept 7 2021, I went for my yearly check. On entering I learned his medical assistant was not vaccinated against covid. When Dr. Card entered the exam room we chatted a little before I asked him if he was vaccinated. He promptly responded that he didn't need to tell me that. I told him I that as a senior I only wanted to be examined by someone fully vaccinated. Saying nothing, he opened the door and waved me out. Two days later I received a letter that I was no longer his patient "due to barriers within the doctor/patient relationship". There was no argument, and no harsh words. The only barrier was his lack of concern for health provider vaccination to protect his patients.

Dr. Card ll ...very kind. I do agree with him NOT giving so freely the addictive pain meds. And perhaps supstituting with something else for pain. That is so good. I'm still not sure how much he knows about treating middle-aged or older women with arthritis...and other 'itis's'. Not too much is said about him and I only had one visit with him. Hmmmm time will tell, I suppose.
