Baber is a joke. He's been in trouble for improperly storing medical records. With the exception of my therapist, Glen, this place is a nightmare. Yenna is inexperienced but that doesn't slow her down. She had the worst attitude and when I bring up her shortcomings to other doctors, they seem appalled and annoyed that someone so unqualified is administering psychiatric care. Just move on.

I believe the negative reviews are coming from a misunderstanding of the role of a psychiatrist in treatment. Talk therapy is usually done with a psychologist, not the psychiatrist. The role of the psychiatrist is not to 'hold your hand' but to address the chemical/medications appropriate for the patient & then review/revise as necessary. I've been seeing psychiatrists for over 30 years in three states for my problems & he is wonderful.

Dr. Baber came up with a plan that supports my willingness to practice ACT, and then some. He presents options very straightforward and academic way and doesn't dumb anything down for me, which I've experienced in the past.

I had to go off my meds cold turkey because I never can get a hold of anyone at the office when I call. They wont refill my prescription without an appointment and when I call to make the appointment I get "Thank you for calling dr. Babers office, please hold" and that's it, just left on hold each and every time.

He didn't even address the MAIN reason I was there. His physician assistant asked me "if you could tell me the MAIN REASON you are here, what is it?" My answer "ANXIETY". What do I not leave with? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help anxiety. 48 years practicing? If you cannot listen to your patients; WHY ARE YOU STILL PRACTICING?

I started seeing Dr. Baber in Oct 2016 to treat my major depressive disorder and paranoid anxiety. Although he is reserved and comes off as emotionless, he is very good with his patients and knows what he is doing. It only took 6mo to get me on the perfect dosage of meds and be back to my normal self after being in a deep suicidal depression. Dr. Baber always reminds me “its great to see you smiling again”. His office can be slow at getting letters written for you, but everyone is very nice.

Dr. Baber recently changed my daughter's meds. After 2 weeks we noticed significant changes...and NOT in a good way. I called his office on a friday morning (9am) asking for him to call me to discuss what I've noticed. I waited until 8pm...no call. I called again first thing the following Monday (9am.) The receptionist remembered me and said she would page him right away. I waited until 8pm. Still, no call. Today is Tuesday. I did not call. Nor did he. Dr. Baber DOES NOT CARE about the well-bei
