He consistently fails to live up to any of the promises that he claims in his marketing of himself. I underwent facelift, breast augmentation, browlift, blepharoplasty and injections which resulted in a laundry list of complications as follows: traumatically torturous physical pain in recovery of the facelift and breast augmentations, 2 massive hematomas on both sides of my neck, permanent nerve pinching to my right ear along with a partially lopped off tragus, pronounced railroad track scars across both upper eyelids, and an extensive infection of my breasts resulting capsular contracture. Read the lowest Google reviews and you will understand how many of his 'patients' feel more like victims. I wish I had checked them along with this site and Real Self before I ever thought of going to see him.

Went for consultation. Got high pressured into services. Said I needed time to think. Would not take no for answer. Overfilled my face even though I said I wanted to look natural. His prices are way above market too. Horrible experience and since then I've heard several more.

I am a patient from Dr. Rian Maerks since 12 years and every probably 3 years I am returning to Dr. Maerks to catch up with my aging. In July 2023, after having another baby a total Mommy Makeover was necessary. Dr. Rian Maerks did a tummy tuck, micro facelift, upper eyelid and lower eyelid surgery on me. All in one! The first 3 days the recovery was challenging with 3 kids, but on the fourth day I was already able to function a little and started working in less than a week! I am a extreme perfectionist and it is very difficult to satisfy me. As a patient I can be pretty annoying and picky, especially if it is about my beauty, but Dr. Rian Maerks was so patient, friendly and professional and the results are fascinating! I LOVE my new me! I couldn't imagine a better outcome. Actually the results are better than expected. Also friends, neighbors and other people in my life came up to me and mentioned that I look so rested and 10 years younger. I would never go anywhere else!

DR. Rian Maercks is a phenomenal surgeon!!! I was originally supposed to have surgery with another surgeon who told me point blank it wasn't able to happen the way I wanted and the results I was looking for she told me I was unable to get them, luckily things went south with her and Dr. Maercks stepped in and was able to give me exactly what I was looking for. He is amazing at what he does, his hands are magical! I would HIGHLY recommend him to any one, especially if you had a previous surgeon mess up. Dr. Maercks is not only extremely talented but has a wonderful bedside manner and really takes the time to make someone comfortable!! ****I was told I would have to have huge achor scarring down and around my breast and Dr. Maercks was able to do the revision with NO EXTRA SCARRING!! It is very reassuring knowing there are surgeons out there with the passion still, not just looking for the paycheck Dr Maercks is that surgeon he is the Best! I will never go to another plastic surgeon.

The worst experience in my life..My face was Swollen for two months, had to go somewhere else to dissolve the fillers he over injected(two other doctors have seen me after his fillers and both agreed that the fillers where over injected) i asked multiple times to have a very natural look and honestly I still don’t know why would he inject so many fillers in my face, and I believe the only reason is so he could charge me more money.

I've seen him personally several times since my surgery. I have recommended him to anyone considering breast augmentation or revision.
