I went to Dr. Gabr. for help to find answers. I found she really shouldn't have had that last appt at the end of the day. She didn't listen to me about my symptoms, and when I asked her about other approaches to finding answers, where she could of said she was not familiar with those studies, and didn't know how that could work, she was rude and judged me even for my age not having real friendships, as I had recently moved; she also said on the report, that I had some psychological problems. She just wanted me to make other appointments that I thought was not necessary, as I had seen other Doctors trying to gain direction, and had ruled out many things already. I didn't trust her judgement based on our appt, I would've rather get a second opinion if I had to see another neurologist. I ended up going to a Chiropractor and have had process since seeing her.

Dr. Gabr delegates visits to her PA
My first appointment with Dr. Gabr was in-depth. She asked all sorts of questions about my headaches, ergonomics, sleep, and even shoes. It was a thorough session. She decided I had migraines. I came for my follow up appointment where her P.A. basically took over from there. The PA was knowledgeable about meds, but it was all about taking the right drugs in the right order over a certain period of time in order to "qualify" for the treatment I needed from the start based on insurance regulations. I never saw Gabr again. No diagnostic tests. I have been prescribed 5 or 6 different meds that didn't work and needed to take them for several weeks each to prove they didn't work before being prescribed the expensive newer meds. One medication (Tizanidine) was very helpful as a muscle relaxant and Naratriptan sometimes prevented a full-blown migraine, but I didn't receive either med right away, and I still get regular headaches.

Dr Gabr is an absolutely incredible professional, exceedingly competent. She was thoroughly familiar with my records before seeing me the first time. She took her time to listen to me most attentively. She is importantly patient focused. She gains your trust immediately with her caring, thoughtful manner. I give her my highest recommendation.

Made snap judgment without saying what she based it on. Did not listen about family history or pain in neck/shoulder area as she had made up her mind. Said I could have second opinion but it would do no good. According to more reputable institutions such as Mayo Clinic I should have extensive tests before her snap diagnosis.

She didn’t listen to me, formed an opinion within a minute or two w/o me letting her know all of my symptoms. Seemed aloof and non-caring. She ordered three extensive tests, (which I did agree with) but had her nurse call me with results instead of having me come back in to discuss. The whole experience made me feel like a cow at a live-stock auction. Check in, ON a machine, no personal contact, go wait in another room. I know the place I is busy, but how about some human contact!

Started out rather confrontational was more helpful after realizing I was telling the truth but ended up just ordering enough test to max out my health insurance and then became unresponsive to follow-up questions. I was given Steroids and then could never get a response from the office on when to schedule a follow-up or what next steps are. I ended up going to Duke University. Read all reviews online for this place before going. There is a theme for a reason.
