If you are looking for a new primary care physician I for warn you to absolutely NEVER CHOOSE REX NZERIBE if you care about your health or the health of your loved ones. My new patient visit with him on October 18th I informed him of my situation and that I needed a referral to a surgeon, that when he received my health records and history he will see that I have a serious ruptured L5:S1 disc causing severe pain to my sciatic nerve, cause a numb foot, restless sleep and no sensation when I have to pee. He neither pushed a referral through for nearly 30 days to the neurosurgeon nor provided me with pain relief during that time. And on the 3rd visit with him he came in hot and said he didn't have time to discuss anything except if I was taking vitamins?! why did I need to schedule an appt for that? I tried to talk about my sciatica and some pain relief until my appt with the surgeon. He actually raised his voice with his patient (me) talking about how he had been working since 630am. I responded that it was after 4pm when he finally came in to the exam room and my appt was schedule for 3pm and I could hear him chatting with some woman about her kids for literally 20 minutes while I was waiting in the exam room next door. He cut me off and said he didn't want to hear it. What? I am a patient there only to seek relief. Relief I need because he couldn't do his job in the first place. And he "doesn't want to hear it?!" I think we all have simple goals at the most basic level, be listened to and be treated as a human. Had he actually read my health records or my MRI and xray results he would have known I was in there for a legitimate reason. Also Anthem mentioned the referral took an extra day because they needed a second auth because he already had a neg mark on his records. Maybe someone is more resourceful than me and can figure out what that mark was for? I am definitely filing a grievance with them as well. Absolutely disgusting behavior from a supposed professional. And I am left here in pain (and on an HMO :/).

I m 77 years old and Dr. Rex may be the best doctor I ve ever had. He listens, cares and returns phone calls. Very odd in 2023. He s a problem solver. I cannot recommend him more highly.
