She is very pleasant and caring; is interested in making sure you are doing fine. I have been a patient of hers since 2018

Helpful & Approachable
Dr. Sothinathan has been my doctor for 2 years and has seen me in the hospital and in her office. She is very kind, knowledgeable and thorough. She immediately responds to direct patient’s question through the practice’s patient portal, which is fantastic. Came highly recommended (separately) by 2 different doctors who have knowledge of her work.

Dr Sothinathan did a wonderful job discussing and explaining my physical issues. The appointment was not rushed which gave me the opportunity to ask questions. She thoughtfully responded to each one and provided me with answers that demonstrated her wealth of knowledge while easing my nerves and my potential fears. I would highly recommend Dr. Sothinathan with renal issues.

This doctor is not to be trusted. She ordered multiple, back-to-back vitamin D tests for me even when my vitamin D was in the normal range and knowing that Medicare would not pay for such frequent, expensive and unnecessary tests. I took lab orders she gave me to Quest Diagnostics twice, at 3 month intervals, before I was informed that Medicare wouldn't pay. I was left with a $500 lab bill for which her office accepted no responsibility. Be very wary of any orders from this doctor.

Dr. Sothinathan is a comforting presence in determining what is wrong and I will keep going to her. However, the group needs to inform/warn their patients that Mercy Lab, right next door is not a PPO with Blue Cross. On my 1st visit the receptionist directed me to Mercy to get the lab work done the Dr. ordered. Today, 2 months later I received a bill for $7,800.

I find Dr Sothinathan to be very helpful, thorough, and professional. I generally don’t kept waiting long and she spends as much time with me as I need. She’s a very calming influence, which is a plus for a doctor dealing with a patient with bad blood pressure. I highly recommend her!

Complex health issues mean that I now have ten doctors in various specialities, and the exam and consult given by Dr. Sothinathan was by far the most thorough and helpful. Therefore, I am a patient of this practice for life. Best of all, she is kind.

Dr. Sothinathan is one of the most knowledgeable and comprehensive doctors I have worked with. She listens to your issues and then connects the dots. She is not one of the boiler plate doctors. She uses her brain, which is rare these days, unfortunately.
