Dr. Renuka Bhatt, MD

I went to Dr Bhatt to get a full body scan because I have very fair skin with numerous moles along with a family history of melanoma. The first visit was good. She told me to come back every six months. I went back for a full body scan. She quickly looked at my back and legs but wasn’t thorough. She was not thoroughly looking at all of my moles and areas I can’t see. Didn’t check my scalp or feet or other areas. I had to show her a growth on my hand and another one on my neck that she didn’t mention. If I forgot to show her she wouldn’t have even seen them. So I’m wondering what else is she missing. She’s a nice doctor but I’m trying to stay ahead of melanoma which can be deadly. I need someone who takes it seriously. I am wondering if the cosmetic procedures sometimes becomes some doctors focus and they sometimes don’t want to be bothered with other visits.

BEWARE do NOT go to Fine Skin dermatology Dr Bhatt. The front desk had no idea what they are doing and the billing department office manager Colleen is so rude and she does not communicate well with insurance companies. My husband had a chemotherapy cream on his face for a month prior to his appointment for skin cancer and the day of his PDT appointment shockingly the office told us we needed to pay $350 upfront, or he could not be seen that day now and if we did not pay it then we had to leave . I was appalled . We have wonderful BCBS PPO insurance and our insurance had already preapproved this , sent the paperwork to them that it was and I even had my insurance company on the phone telling the office that this was covered and no $350 payment of any kind due . The office manager was so rude and told my husband if he didn’t pay the $350 upfront, he could not be seen. I asked to speak to the doctor and they would not even let us , so I had no choice but to pay the $350 as he was in dire need of this appointment. Later I had to call the office and leave messages repeatedly and finally got my $350 back in a check weeks later . Even worse now the doctor will NOT speak to or return any phone calls to my husband or myself regarding his questions about the ongoing recovery of his treatment. It’s very clear this office cares more about money then it does patient care or respect . There are many good dermatologists out there and I highly suggest you look for one , do NOT go to Fine Skin dermatology Dr. Bhatts office

I came to dr Bhatt’s office from the city of chicago today. It took me 1 hr. I arrived exactly on time and was asked when I came in if I had a mask. I did not, so I asked for one to put on, I was told we don’t give out masks. Huh! This is a medical facility and require your patience to wear a mask and you don’t give them a mask. What am I missing??? A kind lady in the office went to her car and got me one, as the receptionist told me my appointment would be terminated. I have been a patient for over 20 years. I have no words how strange this experience was for me. The rest of the appointment was perfect. Someone is being very short sighted. Costco is down the street, buy masks for your patience.

I was referred to Fine Skin by my PCP for acne. I was able to see Dr. Bhatt's associate ASAP ( thanks for Sat hours). They explained everything about my skin that i didn't know could occur :P It has been 3 moths since i saw the NP, and my skin looks so much better. They didn't force me to buy any prodects or treatmetns. I ended up doing 2 peels with them on top of my medications. ps: they were up front about the prices of everything that was concider cosmetic.

For those interested in cosmetic treatments, she is very talented at giving a natural result and is always versed on the newer technologies.

Very easy to get an appointment. Staff was knowledgeable about the treatments they offered and helped choose the right one for my skin without pushing for extras I didn’t need, an issue I’ve encountered elsewhere. I am very happy with the results of the treatments we decided on.

I have been to Dr. Bhatt for dermatologic visits as well as aesthetic. I have been pleased with her advice and I always ask to see her rather than an esthetician. I trust a board-certified dermatologist to inject my skin!

I have been seeing Dr. Bhatt for over 10 years. she is amazing at what she does. she has helped me with skin growths to tattoo removals. she knows when to quit so your skin doesn't get messed up. and she also knows what alternatives to give you. I love her she is very friendly and easy to talk to. she makes you feel like you've known her for years. I highly recommend this doctor for all your skin needs.
