Dr. Fischer is a smart, sensitive MD. She is always prepared, has read the chart and knows why you've set the visit. She hires great staff in nursing and the front office. She asks great questions and will do research to make sure she knows the latest regarding guidelines and new recommendations. Super kind, smart and on-the-ball. She is recommended by other doctors! You'll be pleased with her as your MD! She is not longer a Sentara MD and has the ability to run her practice as patient-focused.

Dr. Fischer was my primary physician while I lived in Charlottesville. If I could give her 6 stars I would, She was thorough, patient and caring. She would call personally to give me test results and kept me on track in dealing with my type 2 diabetes. I'm praying that i will find an equally qualified and caring MD in CT.

The jury is still out. Dr Fischer has been very attentive and thoughtful at times in the 2 plus years I have been her patient, but she has also not listened, acted impatient and even scolding recently. I have many complicated conditions and see specialists at the 2 local hospitals. She promised to keep on top of this and to help me make sense of it all, something she is not doing. She is the only woman in the practice and evidently so much in demand she is never available.

Dr. Fischer is great. I have had some complicated medical issues over the last several years and she stays on top of all I've been through with specialists and makes sure to give me a thorough physical and follow up on anything that remotely concerns her. She is fast paced for sure, but I have never felt that she does not encourage questions or answer them thoroughly and to my satisfaction. Highly recommend.

At first she was great to see but over the years she seems rushed to get you in and get you out. Seem to not listen to the patient well any more, don't know if because of rush in the office or not. High staff turnover, seems to have a new staff member each time I go.
