Wonderful Foot Doctor
Dr. Altman was my husband's podiatrist for many years. She took really good care of him. He was a diabetic, so his feet were very important to keep healthy. I had a foot problem and became her patient also. We had years of experience with Dr. Altman - all good. She is friendly, interesting, and a good doctor.

I saw her about a growth on my foot. She was very rude, blunt and discouraging, to the point that I left in tears. As I was leaving, I watched her mouth to the girls behind the counter that she was going to tell them about it later. Like, what is this middle school? Where is the professionalism? I decided that she would not be the one to do my procedure and found a new podiatrist. Dr. Bearden at Lexington podiatry actually fixed my issue same day without the level of surgery she said I needed. Anyone considering using her should DEFINITELY RECONSIDER.

Excellentl |Spends time and explains your condition. She does not push prescriptions on patient. Tries what helps with least drugs. Very thorough. Follows up on all tests and labs. Very kind lady. Staff is efficient as well. I visit the St. Julian location but will follow office to Cayce location.

Dr. Altman is a decent to excellent Doctor. Her ability to handle her office staff and to follow up on Prior Authorizations is very questionable. I am so unhappy I asked my Endo about a Pod Dr. and right after that [ she got word?] she wrote a nasty letter in my opinion. She is wrong but will most likely never admit it. I will write her bosses a letter but I suspect they are in on it.

She takes time with you. Never in a rush. Tries all options first and does not recommend surgery unless everything else had been tried first
