Dr. Reham Elshaer, MD

The doctor does not care about the well-being of her patients. She only cares about their insurances and if they will pay her enough money. She refuses to see patients for anything other than to do procedures. Dr. Elshaer is a scammer and her office staff is a joke. So are the nurses.

I feel that I am in good hands under Dr. Elshaer’s care. She strives to educate as well as treat her patients. Her staff was kind and professional and had a sense of humor. My colonoscopies have been seamless and painless. My only suggestion would be to rewrite the pre-surgery directions and sequence so they are ordered and clearly stated. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Elshaer.

Never returns calls. Uses the horrible excuse that they are short staffed. Everyone is short staffed now a days... figure it out. Doctors offices NEED to have good customer service. Suggestion... keep one of the staff you do have, later each day to RETURN phone calls!!

I have been with Dr. Elshaer for many years, even before she had a private practice. She is simply the most compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable doctor around. I have referred many people to her over the years and they have all felt the same after meeting her. I would never consider going anywhere else.

Dr. El-Shaer is an excellent doctor. I have been going to her for many years. She is very compassionate and caring, and explains everything in full. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great enterologist. Her staff at the office is great also.

I could not get to talk to her in person or to get her to email responses to my questions after my colonoscopy. She recommended aggressive screening 3 months later, and I still don't know why. I got two more opinions after that and both doctors said that 3 months later was way too aggressive in my case, based on my pathology report. All in all, I am unsatisfied with follow-up care and would not go back there again. Any doctor who you cannot speak to (after several weeks of trying) is not someone I want to take care of me.

Dr. Elshaer is not only an amazing doctor but an amazing character too. I feel taken care of when doing my check ups with her. She is very informative and careful with all her patients and she makes sure her patients are comfortable at all times. The clinic is extremely clean and sanitary, equipment is new, and the staff is very friendly. Kingston New York is very lucky to have her!

Horrible! They try to make money any way they can by charging a LOT for products that cost half of the price anywhere else, and any other gastro would never recommend! An upper endoscopy every 6 months is NOT healthy!!! Obviously, she is not thinking of new ways to help patients, she just wants the cut from seeing a patient. Every time she did an upper endoscopy she "found something". After getting a few opinions, they never noted anything she said she did. Good luck getting your med records!
