Dr. Rebecca James, MD

Want to thank Dr James for being a great surgeon. Im sure she works extremely hard everyday!! She performed a surgery on my wife, got her back very quickly!! She was in constant communication with me, calling me when they were about to start, when they finished and when i could come back to the room to see her. I would highly recommend her for this list of procedures she has listed on her website.

My 83-year-old mother suffered from Pelvic Floor Prolapse which caused many problems including frequent urination as well as urine leakage. She had sought treatment from other physicians without any solution. A wonderful friend in the medical community referred us to Dr. James and was adamant that we should not see anyone else for the prolapse, as this is Dr. James specialty and said what an amazing work she does. Her office staff and surgery scheduler were all very professional! After a few office visits, my mother was able to have a day surgery. Dr. James explained the procedure in layman's terms and provided written material with pre and post op questions and answers. A friend of my is a nurse anesthetist at First Choice Surgery Center and when I mentioned it to Dr. James, she was able to request my friend for my mother's surgery! At the post op visit, my mother said, 'Dr. James, you've changed my life!' Thank you Dr. James! You and your team are a blessing!!

I have never had such a wonderful experience in all my years dealing with any healthcare facility. They run a tight ship over there, Wait time is very minimal. BB and Michelle in the front were amazing! They were patient, kind, understanding, and efficient. I had some health concerns and was able to have a new patient appt on day 1, testing the following day, a results review and a surgery scheduled all within 3 days. Dr. James' Nursing staff is super sweet, gentle, and caring. They walk you through all their processes so you know exactly is going on. They all have soothing and calming spirits that makes you feel comfortable in uncomfortable situations. Dr. James is highly intelligent and confident. She explains everything you need to know about your treatment. You can tell that she is brilliant and that you are safe in her hands. I highly recommend this place! I have been a patient of Dr.James for over a year now. I suffer from Interstitial cystitis, pudendal neuralgia and chronic pelvic pain. I went through so many specialists that just could not get my symptoms under control. FINALLY I found Dr.James and I am never leaving. I live 4 hours away now and I still won't change Dr.'s. That's how amazing and compassionate her and her whole staff is. She has gotten my symptoms under better control than ever before and she always goes out of her way to accommodate my needs especially since I live out of town. She genuinely cares about you. Trust me, she has proven this time and again. If that wasn't enough, her staff is fantastic! One of her staff members, Michelle, will call just to check on me and see how I'm doing. I have been through so much with even getting a diagnosis so I've been through several dr.'s and staff members and I never felt cared about like I do under her care. I am a 40 year old female with a history of lupus and mixed connective tissue disease. Long story short, I ended up with a massive case of pelvic prolapse, and it was truly ruining my life. I just have to say that my experience with Dr. James and her staff has been absolutely incredible. Dr. James is extremely knowledgeable, unbelievably kind and compassionate, and the most punctual doctor I’ve ever seen. I’m usually in and out of the office in a matter of 20 minutes! My surgery went very well, and when I’ve had issues, all I’ve had to do is text the medical assistant and I’ve been helped almost immediately. Dr. James and her staff have truly been so kind, helpful, supportive, and all around WONDERFUL…and I honestly think of them as friends as opposed to a medical staff at this point in time (it’s been quite a road, so we’ve had plenty of time to bond)! I am a 71 year old with urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. I was referred to Dr. James by my primary physician. From the moment you walk into the office you feel welcomed by the amazing staff. Each of my visits have ALWAYS been first rate with the best patient focused care. Dr. James is a very knowledgeable, thoughtful and friendly presence that made me feel immediately at ease. She has a gentle way of performing the necessary examinations and tests. While undergoing my examination she was explaining in concise detail (layman terms) what she is doing. I was given handouts with detailed information (about incontinence, urodynamic tests, cystoscopy, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic reconstructive surgery, prescription meds, etc.) helping me understand my diagnosis. Thank you BB, Amber and Haleigh for being professional, friendly, and helpful in every way. Also, Dr. James is the most caring doctor I have had the privilege to have who makes my health and wellbeing a top priority.

We are so blessed to have found Dr. James and her staff!! She changed my wife's life for the better and we cannot say enough about she and her staff. Dr. James is a thorough, caring, and competent Doctor. She carefully considered my wife's condition before recommending surgery, and then provided the best treatment plan. Huge shout out is deserved by her entire staff, all caring and friendly, but Michelle deserves recognition especially. Michelle went above and beyond providing current updates and assistance as we navigated the insurance process. She moved mountains and we are eternally grateful for her persistence and professionalism!!

This is 100% a true review, unlike the one rude person who said other reviews were fake. I had seen Dr. James previously when I had surgery (that was NOT pushed on me) and was under her care until an insurance change several years ago. I am so happy to be back under her care. I have not had great experiences with female gynecologists until I met Dr. James. She is extremely kind, she listened and addressed my concerns. She did not rush our appointment, even though she is an extremely busy and in demand doctor. I know I am getting quality care with her and that she does care about her patients very much. She is extremely knowledgeable and I personally feel like the Permian Basin is extremely lucky to have her in our area. I have seen one other doctor in her field in the Permian Basin and after that appointment I refused to go back to him. I feel like she takes the care of her patients seriously and prioritizes their needs.

Been struggling for years with issues. Dr. James made everything supper easy and comfortable. If I knew if would be this easy and painless, I would have go to her much sooner.

I absolutely love Dr James!! She worked with me for about a year before we decided that surgery was the best course of action to resolve my issue. Both her and the surgery team were fantastic!! They were so kind and positive, I could not have asked for better care. I continue to see Dr James to this day and I am so glad I found a doctor of her caliber in my area that both actively listens and provides such compassionate care.

I went to Dr James after suffering with incontinence issues for years. Dr James made me feel comfortable, she took her time and went over different options which I chose the mess sling repair and also a prolapse repair.. I was so shocked at how soon I noticed the improvement and I no longer have the issues I went to her with. Dr James is amazing and I am very happy with the results!!

There is nobody like her. She is the best. She did a great job. I would recommend her to anyone.

She is very rude and does not genuinely care about her patients well being. Will push and insist invasive surgeries , if you deny she will dismiss you as a patient. BE AWARE, this is an honest review not a fake one like the others

I came to Dr. James a year ago after having UTIs all of my adult life. My UTIs were a monthly episode. Now I’ve been FREE from UTI’s for an entire year! So grateful I was referred to her!!!! Thanks Dr. James!

Dr. Rebecca James is the name, OBGYN the beast to tame. Yoselyn, her trusty aide, no wings but angel made. Each caring & full of compassion Proof kindness is always in fashion. Dr. James is a fantastic doctor! She listens, is attentive, is caring, and above all professional. I have had two successful surgeries (spaced a year apart and for two separate issues) and my quality of life has vastly improved. This is the first doctor I have been to out of MANY who TRULY listened to me and did everything she could to give be a better quality of life. I am not just another number to Dr. James, but a person! She is a conservative doctor, but does honor your wishes! Because of Dr. James My quality of life has improved by 1,000% and I will be eternally grateful for her!
