Dr. Rebecca Borders, DO

I had the worst experience with Dr. Borders and her staff. I went in for a visit because of a rash/skin condition that had persisted for about two weeks. It was very similar to a rash I had a few years back, so I was fairy certain of my prognosis. Being no stranger to the healthcare field, I went in for an appointment to receive a prescription for a topical cream. After explaining to Rebecca my symptoms and previous history, and after spending less then 5 minutes with me, she determined they were “red bug” bites and sent me on my way. I expressed my concern to the receptionist on my way out. What should have been a simple visit turned into a nightmare. Over a week later, with my condition worsening, I sought treatment elsewhere. After being seen by another provider, they confirmed my suspicions and prescribed the appropriate treatment after a thorough exam. I returned to Dr. Borders to update them on my condition and to express my discontent with the quality of care I received.

I moved to Edisto in 2011. I'm 77 and old school about not rushing to the Dr. Not having a lot of options on Edisto I gave Dr. Borders a chance. Best choice I could have made. Like Humpty Dumpty falling from the wall Dr. Borders put me together again, more than once. Her office is outstanding Barbara is the BEST at drawing blood I've seen and Kim is one of the most caring receptionists you could hope for,,, The office is a REAL PLUS for Edisto...

Dr. Borders spent a great deal of time speaking with my father who has dementia. She was thorough and kind, and I appreciated it very much.
