It was in a word: Great! I had been suffering with pain in my upper leg that as it became more pronounced, was making walking extremely difficult, to the point that I had to use a cane. At first I had been told it could be sciatica and was referred to Dr. Oshtory. He listened to my explanation of my symptoms and asked many questions, then ordered an MRI and when he reviewed it with me, advised of what my actual condition was, the options available and detailed each procedure. He was very clear in his explanations and listened carefully to my concerns. I opted for an L4-L5 fusion and it was a complete success, I actually had absolutely no leg pain the next morning after the operation. He was very thorough in the follow-up examinations and in the seven months since then I am completely pain-free and walking as normally as I did prior to the onset of this condition. I could not be happier! Dr. Oshtory is very knowledgeable and experienced and I felt very secure in his care.

Falling down from an angry L4/L5 and in need of a spinal fusion as a revision after a prior surgery 2+ years ago. I visited potential surgeons none of which had recommendations that fit. I was referred to Dr. Oshtory. My experience from initial consultation through post-op recovery has been stellar. And...no pain.

Dr. Oshtory is superlative in every way! He is a very skilled, qualified and knowledgeable surgeon. He is intelligent and super well trained, but he is also practical and uses good judgment. He is thorough in his explanations as well as realistic when discussing options and outcomes. Before I saw Dr. Oshtory I was in constant, severe pelvic and leg pain. The surgery was amazing. 5 weeks post-op I am walking 5 miles/day and swimming several times a week. I have my life style back, pain free.

I am very happy I was referred to Dr. Oshtory. After analyzing my MRI he recommended surgery to replace a herniated disc in my neck. He explained the procedure and estimated recovery time. He even gave me his email address in case i had other questions. Everything he said was spot on. Sewanda, his office manager did a great job helping me with my disability claim. I would recommend him to all my friends who have spinal pain. I love a doctor who tells it like it is.
