Seamless and competent care
Dr. Ropiak performed a total shoulder surgery 6 weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier with the result. The protocol for pain control was on point. My experience with the whole process from start until now has been seamless and professional. I would highly recommend Dr Ropiak and the Virtua health system.

Dr. Raymond Ropiak surgery
Dr. Ropiak is incompetent. He’s another example of incompetent doctors in south jersey. He wrote inaccurate details in Summary of Visits, which is on my medical record. Under allergies to medication-he stated that I get hives when I take a certain antibiotic. That’s incorrect, I have severe reactions to amoxicillin and had to be rushed to ER after taking. He continued to down play the severity of my frozen right shoulder even though I couldn’t move it at all and was in intense pain. He performed surgery it was so bad. He continued to write inconsistent notes where he contradicts himself over and over. He’s a cocky doctor. . He talked down to me. I’m from NYC where I was able to receive excellent healthcare from my physicians. This guy should be a gym teacher.

Does not trust himself...avoid
Terrible, needed shoulder replacement in 2017, told me I was 'too young' and to come back in a few years...when I went back, he told me it was 'above his pay grade'. Saw separate Dr and 1 month later had the surgery. Had to live in pain due to his gross incompetence. Avoid.

Always had the feeling that he listened to my point of view . But he made it clear what my options were. Did not know about the practice before making my appointment but was overall very pleased from beginning to end and would absolutely recommend this practice.

Dr. Ropiak’s lack of bedside manner is out done only by his incompetence as a surgeon. He performed a shoulder arthroplasty that failed miserably and he refused to manage the complications. His staff then dragged their feet in providing the paperwork and documentation needed to help us find a surgeon who would fix his mistakes. In retrospect it was my fault for trusting this “surgeon” when there are so many true experts nearby. Your health is not worth the risk, go to a real surgeon.

Dr. Ropiak completely rebuilt my elbow after a terrible fall. I'im not sure I would have been able to have full use of arm/hand/elbow if not for his expertise. His PA Ashley is amazing as well.
