Nephrology group needs to be overhauled
As a patient of Dr. Raut I will say I find him very intelligent and thorough. That being said he is often rushed and comes across disorganized. He has a very heavy accent and he also throws around medical terminology that means nothing to me. He does not speak in laymen terms to explain things you have to ask several times to explain. (Specialty physicians should understand this!) Next big issue you all need to know is the front line and middle office staff are useless to the patient. They will take your call but when they tell you someone will return your call after they speak with Dr. Raut no one calls (this happened to me at least 4 times calling in, thinking maybe this time someone will call me back after they speak with the Dr. but nope no one returns calls). You send a note through Nuvance Health portal and they tell you expect 3 days for a response try 5-6 days or never!) there are no PA’s or APRN’S to serve as middle office medical staff. John Murphy needs to fix this group!

Annual visit
Dr. Raut is an extremely bright and professional man. Yes, he may appear rushed(because they have so many patients) but he will take the time to listen and develop the best plan of action for you. He really cares about his patients. I highly recommend him.

Not going back
Dr Rout, did not listen, made errors in the notes, didn't explain anything, he made a plan in his head but din't explain to me and then told me to start new prescriptions the night before a procedure. (hospital said no) and gave me the bums rush out the door.

Although we have not been to Dr. Raut's office as yet, are experience was amazing. he immediately saw that a counter productive medicine had been prescribed to my husband and put him on a medicine that corrected the problem. Needless to say as soon as he is released from the hospital and able to walk we will be making all future appt. with Dr. Raut.
