He did a sloppy job on my spinal surgery in L 4, L5, S1. After month of me complaining my pain was just as severe, he claimed it was all in my head, and I was only after pain medicine.I went to finally went to the Cleveland clinic where they discovered He left the screws installed with the hardware loose and that was causing all of my issues, the lose screws were visible in imaging completed by his office and all the imagine does by the Cleveland Clinic. I was luckily able to get doctor Stevens from Middletown to remove the hardware Dr Polestra installed , flip my over heighten my disc and reapply new hardware. It took months to recover, but I was never able o fully trust a doctor again.

Dr. Poelstra performed micro vascular compression for Trigeminal Neuralgia. The disease used to be called the “Suicide Disease” because of the pain and lack of options for the patient. Dr. Poelstra was an excellent surgeon! Combined with his profound ability to communicate simply and to understand my fears made this surgical experience the best decision my wife and I could have made. Thank you, Dr. Poelstra.
