Outstanding Surgeon!
Dr. Haroun performed a cervical fusion on me earlier this year, and I experienced very little pain afterwards, have regained arm strength, and flexibility in my neck. He is very thorough and does not rush to the conclusion that surgery is required. Dr. Haroun prescribed several tests and visits with physicians in related fields, before determining what was necessary. He was especially cautious since I had a prior cervical fusion years ago, which impeded the area where my surgery was needed. Madison Hawkes, P.A. is equally talented, as she was involved in my pre-and post-surgery care, as well as assisting during surgery. Dr. Haroun explained the surgery in detail and they both answered my questions. I’m still amazed at how a major surgery could cause little pain and a fairly quick recovery.

Compassionate & Listens
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Haroun! At just 36 years old, facing L5 and S1 decompression surgery was daunting. I was terrified of what it might mean for my future, especially as a parent of a busy toddler. From the very first consultation, Dr. Haroun’s meticulous approach and compassionate care immediately put my family and me at ease. What stood out most was how much he listened. He remembered how important it was to me to stay active and keep up with my little one. Throughout the process, he was not just a skilled surgeon but also a deeply empathetic human being. He explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made me feel confident I was in the best hands possible. My recovery is progressing well just 3-days post surgery, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to get back to doing what I love with my family.

Back Surgery
Let me first say I don't normally leave reviews unless something is horrible or it's outstanding and in this case Outstanding. After having my PCM order and MRI on my back it showed there was pinched nerves along with a cyst that was attached to my spine. So, I began the search on finding a surgeon that I would feel comfortable with since the ones in my direct area I don't trust. Mind you I have never had surgery on back and always said I would put it off as long as I could but finding out there was a cyst attached to the spine decided for me. I done my online reviews and medical checks and I set an appointment up with Dr. Haroun. After meeting with him we decided to go forward with surgery, and I was blessed with an awesome surgeon and staff. Dr. Haroun explained everything in detail what all he would be doing and what recovery would look like. It has been 2 weeks and doing great with little soreness from surgery which is expected. I will definitely be recommending others his way.

Excellent Surgeon - Highly Recommended!
I had been suffering with severe lumbar spine related pain for some time. It got to the point where I had difficulty walking. I tried every non-surgical option I could. Nothing helped. I sought out Dr. Haroun on the recommendation of several friends, one a physician. Dr. Haroun was very kind, friendly and above all professional and informative. He made sure I understood everything about my condition, fully explained test results, and outlined treatment options and their risks. The surgery went off without any complications. With the help of Physical Therapy my recovery is going well and I am extremely grateful to be without the debilitating pain I had before. I also want to mention how great his PA, Madison Hawkes, was in this process, especially between appointments. Overall Dr. Haroun is an excellent surgeon. Should I need further treatment in the future I would not hesitate to go to him.

Sciatic Nerve Pain Relief-Finally!
I had been suffering with acute sciatica for four months and had tried every possible way to relieve the pain with no success. Dr. Haroun suggested that I should have surgery to remove the pressure from my herniated disc that was irritating my sciatic nerve. He explained the procedure and possible risks well. He also directed me to a website that had several informational videos to help answer any remaining questions. The surgery went well and the healing process has gone quite smoothly. I am much more comfortable than I was before the procedure. I was taking NSAIDS all day every day before surgery and after the first week of post op recovery I have not needed to take anything at all for pain. I often wonder why I waited so long to have this surgery.Dr. Haroun and his staff are all very kind, caring and helpful.

Excellent Experience!
I was given his reference by a family friend and I decided to get a consult from him for my neck surgery. My experience with him was excellent! He is very professional and explained my procedure and answered all my questions satisfactorily. Post-op he followed up and gave me clear directions for recovery. I definitely recommend him.

Don’t hesitate to see Dr. Haroun!
I worked with many different spine specialists before I contacted Dr Haroun. Each time feeling frustrated and defeated when I left. I was finally referred to Dr Haroun for further management. THE BEST DECISION I have ever made- I have now referred him to everyone who has back issues (including family and friends, who all go to see him now). He is thorough, has great bedside manner, answers questions in depth and the appointments never seem rushed. The PAs are excellent as well as the front desk staff are also kind and caring. Post treatment, I feel like a new me who is now able to do things I was never able to do including: playing with my kids, running around with them, hiking or running (did a half marathon!). He validated any fears and didn’t brush them off and included me in his plan of care and even followed up on my status after surgery himself later that evening. I’m so happy with the progress I’ve made with my back now and am so thankful for Dr. Haroun and his entire team.

Thorough, respectful and on time!
Dr. Haroun listened to my situation and sent me for several tests (MRI, CAT Scan and X-rays) to gain more information. After reviewing the tests, he willingly sent me to another doctor with more expertise in my area of concern. Dr. Haroun is an excellent communicator. He is respectful and answers questions thoughtfully. The staff is also helpful and organized.

A fantastic surgeon and a very kind man.
I had a second back surgery done by Dr. Haroun after 10 years of great comfort from my first procedure done by him. My back was re- injured and required a second surgery. He again treated me and I’m two years out and doing very well. He was my only choice when I new a second procedure was required. My prognosis was worse after the second procedure, his result was excellent.

Meticulous and Knowledgeable
I needed a discectomy of the lumbar region to relieve pain and numbness. Dr. Haroun did outstanding work. His office scheduler Courtney was also awesome--she worked really hard to get my surgery cleared so I could take a cancelation that worked great in my calendar.

I waited in the exam room for 25 minutes for the doctor. He had come highly recommended to me by my son. When he came into the room he was distant and spent about five minutes with me, and I felt dismissed and like it was a waste of time and an insurance claim. He seemed to me to be Covid phobic, despite all reasonable precautions taken. That is unacceptable in a medical professional. In my other doctors, I’ve seen something similar with my PCP, and my other doctors are quite critical of this behavior. As a physician, you take an oath. If you cannot uphold that oath while taking sensible, recommended precautions during an epidemic or pandemic, then you should close your practice until the world gets on the other side of the crisis. My son was shocked at my experience. He had surgery done several years ago by Dr. Haroun and said he was very different at that time. Sad.

I was very disappointed with my second visit to Dr. Haroun today. On my first visit a few weeks ago, I was hopeful that he would take all reasonable steps to identify the cause of my debilitating back, hip and foot pain. He ordered a nerve analysis and two MRIs on my back, which I then had performed. My husband and I received and reviewed as carefully as possible the printouts of theMRI results and visited Dr. Haroun today to discuss tho results of the various tests. The visit this morning lasted less than about 10 minutes and resulted in very little discussion of my nerve test or MRIs. After responding to only one of our several questions on the results of the MRIs, Dr. Haroun recommended further tests (MRI, CAT scan etc) on my NECK! He was in a hurry to finish our visit and we departed convinced that we had wasted our time and insurance money on this attempt to find a cure for my pain and decreasing balance. We will not return.

I am an active 77 year old male who rides a bicycle 5,000 miles a year. I went to Dr. Haroun after having 5 months of on and off severe leg pain. He determined that I had a cyst on a section of my spine. I elected that he perform surgery to remove the cyst. I went through outpatient surgery and comfortably walked of the building when it was completed. I have had no pain since that day. I could not ride or do routine exercises for 6 weeks, but did less strenuous exercises with a physical therapist during that time. After 10 weeks I am back to my riding schedule. His office/staff was great and my outcome was perfect!

I recently received lumbar microdisectomy surgery from Dr. Haroun. I had crippling nerve pain down the right leg for three years. After failed steroid shots and PT, I contacted Dr. Haroun and we discussed the options. Surgery was agreed to be the best option for long-term recovery. It has been two weeks since the surgery and I have seen nearly 100% improvement. The overall surgery and recovery has been an absolute breeze compared to prior shoulder surgery. My experience with Dr. Haroun was fantastic.
