COMPLEX AND RARE DISEASES LABELED SOMATIC
I remain highly suspicious of a system that focuses on Psych Evals rather than NEURO Cognitive Evaluations coupled with imaging ONLY as a last resort. I question Neurologists that do not know about ACEPHALGIC MIGRAINES and order highly expensive, in-patient sezure testing rather than simply review a new patient's previous test records. There is NO EXCUSE to not consult with the referring Physician, a RENOWNED NEURO OPTHALMOLOGIST ! A doctor confident in what they do know should respect the patient by simply admitting when they DON'T KNOW about a 3 times confirmed diagnosis. But to be left 6 years with progressing FRONTAL TEMPORAL LOBE DEMENITA, easily seen in the brain SHRINKAGE is alarming! Most egregious was to be labeled as having 'SOMATIC OVER CONCERNS', then blaming that incorrect diagnoses as coming from another doctor... And all the OBVIOUS autonomic malfunctions of multiple organs plus the tell tail deformities that occur with CUSHING'S DISEASE was missed too!

Had such a great visit with Dr. Sanka. All the staff communicated very well when there was a long wait as well as apologetic. Dr. Sanka was awesome when it came to explaining what she was doing, how she had to do the exam. I think what she does is pretty cool.

Dr Sanka has been a God send over the years helping managing my wife’s dysautonomia issues. We went through years of doctors guessing and then found her. She is patient and kind. Listens and cares. She’s willing to try suggestions and truly hears what her patient is saying. We can’t say enough about how blessed we feel to have her as a doctor.

I was a patient of Dr. Sanka for 7 years. I have a rare disease and had no knowledge of how to find a doctor that knows what my disease is. I stayed on with her for this reason and because she had to approve orders for me to get infusions for my disease. In those 7 years, I called and asked to speak to her about 5 times. Not once, did she personally call me back. I had to wait to see her in person every 6 months to address any concerns. Among several other medical mistakes, most critical one was she ordered for my infusions to be more frequent even though she already knew I had severe allergic reactions in the past at that frequency. I suffered severe reactions again and when I relayed my complaint to Dr Sanka through her nurse, Dr Sanka’s reply to me through her nurse was “ find yourself another doctor” and she dropped me as a patient. I suffered 5 months without infusions and I regressed tremendously in my disease because I couldn’t find a dr. to approve my infusions.

Dr Sanka is an experienced, kind and professional lady. She takes her time listening and thinking outside the box. It may take a long time to be seen by her, but it's very much worth the wait. She's amazing!
