Useless appointment
After expressing and visibly displaying strong anxiety and depressive symptoms, I was asked by Dr Jastan if I had 'tried reading a book'. My referral request for psych to prescribe and manage appropriate medication for my concerns was only processed after I brought it to the attention of the office OVER a month later that it had not been done yet. I have yet to receive a response regarding reactions to medications she prescribed either. Frankly, I would have made more progress had I never gone to this appointment in the first place. I am most definitely experiencing further increased anxiety symptoms as a result. Thankfully i have procured additional insurance and easily scheduled my own appointment outside of her service within 3 days. They do not express any urgency or consideration regarding patient care and for that reason I will not return. My health is clearly of no priority at this establishment.

Dr. Jastan saw my adult disabled daughter after her previous doctor moved. She began changing medications on the first visit, with only negative results. The last visit, 3-4 months later, Dr. Jastan failed to include one medication (a high dosage antidepressant) in the refills. Our pharmacy contacted her office that day. I called for the next 3 days leaving voicemails for her nurse and speaking to office staff. Dr. Jastan was personally informed on the 2nd day by an office employee. Finally another doctor ordered the refill four days after the appointment. My daughter could not get out of bed by the last day. Dr. Jastan caused a disabled person months of discomfort and days of suffering. Her medical skills are negligible, her work ethic is poor and her lack of empathy is appalling. In 3 full work days she couldn't find 5 minutes to correct her mistake, even though she was aware that her patient was suffering. I doubt anyone very sick would survive her care.

I went with my 90 year old father to see Dr. Jastan recently. I found her to be very thorough, professional and knowledgeable. While she is nice, her personality is rather luke warm, but gave us more information than we had gotten elsewhere. I would definitely go back to her and recommend her to others.

I've had several visits with Dr Jastan. I should have gone with my gut feeling on my first visit. My experience is that she doesn't listen. She often insists on her point of view without really understanding what I try to say. I've been to other specialists and I've found the nurses don't respect her. Once Dr Jastan got so angry at whoever was supposed to fill the supplies in the examination room, she went out and yelled at the girls at the desk and then came in and ended my visit.
