I cannot recommend this Doctor
I had surgery at the Clayman center in June 2024 and was shortly diagnosed post-surgery with Poorly Differentiated Thyroid Cancer. I explained my concerns to Dr. Roy that I had years of biopsies and suddenly my nodule was growing at a significantly elevated rate. I also had a genetic test done that confirmed Pax8 PPARG.Dr. Roy dismissed my concerns and said I shouldn't worry about itI was diagnosed with Poorly differentiated thyroid cancer only after the surgery. My follow up care consisted of me calling and asking to discuss the results of the pathology. I had to call multiple times before Dr. Roy finally called me back. During that call she told me that I do not need any follow up scans, or surgery that I am cured.I personally could never recommend Dr. Roy out of her extreme arrogance and unprofessional behavior. She had no evidence to support her thesis that I have no distant spread despite having 14 blood vessel invasion but yet felt confident to claim I'm cured.

Dr Roy and her entire staff are extremely knowledgeable, warm, and supportive. My wife had an extremely scary diagnosis and they made us feel so optimistic the entire way. They answered every single question we had and we couldn’t have felt more comforted. The surgery went extremely well even though the thyroid was even worse than we thought. I couldn’t possibly recommend her anymore.

Excellent experience!
Words can not express how deeply grateful I am for the quality of care I received at the Clayman Thyroid Center. During what was a very scary and stressful time for me, I learned about these wonderful surgeons and traveled to Tampa for my consultation. The compassion, professionalism, expertise and efficiency of everyone at the facility is incomparable. Dr. Walsh and Dr. Clayman performed my partial thyroid removal, and my experience was wonderful. I spoke to all three surgeons that day, both before and after my procedure, and I was able to ask any and all questions and receive reassurance. I went into surgery with complete peace of mind and no anxiety whatsoever, and my recovery was easy. I would urge anyone considering thyroid surgery to seek care at the Clayman Center. There are not enough positive things I can say about it! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Dr. Walsh, Dr. Clayman, and Dr. Roy, for taking such good care of me!

Great Thyroid Surgeon
I traveled from out-of-state for thyroid surgery with Dr. Roy. She is an excellent surgeon and a thyroid expert. She thoroughly answered all of my questions and responded quickly to my follow-up questions through email. I was able to do all of my testing and have surgery in the same day. It was a great experience coming from out-of-town and taking care of everything in one day. I didn't have any complications and recovery was quick and easy. Dr. Roy listened to my concerns and provided me with all of the information that I needed to feel confident in the plan for surgery. I had the best possible outcome, and I can't thank Dr. Roy enough for the excellent care that she provided.

Phenomenal Surgeon
Dr. Roy tops my chart as most skilled, knowledgeable, communicative and personable surgeon. Throughout my thyroid surgery, she has been informative, direct, patient, and thorough. She has answered every question I posed before and after my surgery. The incision was well done and is healing very well. Equally important to me is her bedside manner. She is professional, calm, clearly well educated and demonstrates a desire for her patients to understand the surgical possibilities, the potential outcomes, the challenges ahead, and attempts to answer questions before you’ve even asked. I hold her in the highest regard and thank her for taking such good care of me!

Dr Roy is compassionate, knowledgeable, and extremely skilled. I arrived for my surgery at 6 am, and was back at my hotel by 1pm. In that time the team performed a very detailed ultrasound, blood work and in my case they scoped my vocal cords because there was concern the tumor was starting to attached to my vocal chord nerve. Then they explained what my surgery would entail. Dr Roy was very skilled. The assessment of the tumor starting to attach to the vocal chord never was correct, but Dr Roy very carefully/delicately separated the tumor from the vocal chord nerve. It made the procedure more difficult, but she managed to carefully separate and save my vocal chord nerve. I speak just fine now! A lesser surgeon could have easily damaged or severed my vocal chord nerve, and left permanent voice impairment. But not Dr Roy - she was amazing!! She also left an ultra fine scar (almost like a plastic surgeon). I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else...
