Dr. Randy Janczyk, MD

I had four previous hernia surgeries and was not looking forward to a fifth but Dr. Janczyk came highly recommended. This surgery was more extensive than I expected but I am so thankful for the skill of Dr. Janczyk. I now feel confident and hopeful this surgery was my last. His office staff was friendly and professional and made my experience that much better, the kind of staff you thoroughly enjoy. I would recommend Dr. Janczyk and his office to anyone who needs a hernia repair.

Had inguinal hernia repair with mesh about 2.5 months ago. Dr Janczyk talked me through options and answered questions. Surgery went smooth and recovery has been good. I searched around for a while before choosing this surgeon and am very glad I went with Dr Janczyk!

I had a great first meeting. He explained the process and what to expect after surgery. The removal of the bad mesh that was causing my pain. Then surgery went well he gave me pain meds I needed for the first week of discomfort. His staff was fantastic with everything I needed my paper work for my job. Follow up appointment they are very helpful and easy to talk with about my concerns. The young ladies made me feel well taken care of. Overall a great experience. I would highly recommend him and his staff.

Office staff is cold and uninviting. They make you get authorizations and referrals when one is not required for payment just to give you the run around. Meghan is rude and has a smart mouth and no after care instructions are given after surgery, I literally had to google what to expect.

Dr. Janczyk professionally assessed my hernia and told me what my options were. He listened to my questions carefully and did not mind repeating himself if I asked the same question over again. I decided to have my inguinal hernia corrected with laparoscopic robotic assisted surgery. The surgical team was profession and Dr. Janczyk did an excellent job. The incision sites are tiny and are healing very nicely. The hernia was corrected and I went home the same day. I had so little discomfort that I did not need any pain medications after the surgery. After three days, I could have easily forgotten I had the surgery. I'm three weeks beyond surgery now and feel completely healed, although I know that I need to limit lifting for at least another week. I'm very happy with the outcome of my surgery and with the overall experience. I would highly recommend Dr. Janczyk.

Dr. Janczyk performed my (double) inguinal surgery and I couldn't be happier! One reviewer called him a 'cowboy', which made me want him to perform my surgery even more; a client who is an intern at Beaumont said "Yes, he's a cowboy, but he is an incredible surgeon" - and she was right!

I had a very unpleasant experience with Dr Janczyk during my first encounter with him as a patient. I am a doctor myself butI went to him for hernia consultation. He had poor bedside manners. He belittled other doctors and he undermined my genuine concern.

Dr. Janczyk performed my appendectomy and it seemed that everything went fine. I had abdominal pain 2 wks after surgery and ended up back in the ER. Following that visit, I was told to follow up with Dr. Janczyk for a visit the next wk. When I called to make the appt, the receptionist informed me that, 'it didn't sound like I needed to be seen'. I was simply following the dr's instructions to set an appt but she felt it was her call to make. Very unprofessional & i will now seek second opinion.

I was a double hernia repair, laparoscopic surgery patient of Dr. Janczyk in April of 2017. He and his office staff, Aesha and Rebecca, were knowledgeable, polite, cheerful, reassuring and efficient. The surgery went well and my recovery (three weeks out as I write this) was surprisingly easy. I would unhesitatingly give Dr. Janczyk and his staff top ratings. All the medical personnel I encountered at Beaumont Hospital surgery were also excellent.

Dr. Randy is an excellent surgeon, I had a double inguinal hernia repair, both got fixed, robotically, with minimum pain and hardly any scarring. Also his office lady Ayesha is the best, they make you feel good about the whole experience, the staff at Beaumont Royal Oak, the nurses and the anesthesiologist were all great, after I woke up from surgery, I left within an hour, I took two weeks off from work, can walk the same night 4 weeks later I am slowly getting back to running and workouts
