Greedy practice that may be ok if they cared half about the patient as they do about money. They don’t take insurance. If you’re sick and cancel one or two days ahead they charge a large fee. I’ve had them cancel on me the same day and had to wait weeks to get another appointment.I’ve been a patient for eighteen years before they acquired “the Wellness Center” ( an amazing practice) and you can’t even compare the level of professionalism.Called with a concern a while back and Nick gave me conflicting information before checking to see if he had my credit card on file. I have never ever been late with a payment so I was shocked by this. Hung up still not having my concerns clarified.I felt better and stopped going for eight months but when I called it took days for anyone to get back to me.Finally Nick returned my call. I have already explained to him in detail that I still reside in NY but do frequently vacation in Tennessee. He was very insinuating that I am not a NY resident .

TMS
I went to this office for TMS treatment. I found Dr. Solomon and his staff all very friendly, professional, and caring. They went out of their way to accommodate my insurance and financial situation. They always follow up when they say they will, and keep on top of any issues. They let you know what to expect, what you can do to make the treatment more effective on your own and in session. I have seen quite a few psychiatrists over the years and Dr. Solomon is extremely knowledgeable and thinks outside the box when necessary as well. He seems to have hand picked quite a lovely group for the front and back office staff, as well as TMS technicians. All around, a very good experience, with a very wonderful staff (Alyssa, Elza, Toby, and Delaney, just to name a few). I would highly recommend them; they really pay attention to detail and provide a pleasant atmosphere and experience.

Controls the narrative
If this review is missing, Dr. Solomon had it removed. They’re all idiots, unfortunately. Prescriptions filled out incorrectly every time. No priority for patient care it’s all about doctor convenience. Charge you for everything. Don’t care at all if gaps in receiving prescriptions they gave you that could harm you without taking. Only want to talk via text. Just a sad, sad, sad, and failing group - avoid at all costs.

I cannot say enough positive things about Island Psychiatry. I have been a patient of Dr. Solomon's for 15 years and have recently been seeing Alexandra Paul as well. The practice is very caring. I work in NYC and they have been great with working around my odd schedule. I have found that attending my sessions has helped me greatly with the issues I have been experiencing, and I have recommended them to others as well. I feel that they really care and cannot recommend them enough!

I have struggled for most of my life with a variety of mental health issues and have seen many mental health care practitioners throughout my life. I am a highly educated professional and did much research before booking an appointment with Dr. Solomon. I have been a patient of Dr. Solomon’s for many years and I must say, without reservation, that he is an excellent, professional, understanding, and trustworthy doctor. He is conservative with prescribing medication so a patient knows that he or

"Dr. Solomon is an excellent psychiatrist. He is intelligent and has insightful therapeutic skills. I have had the fortune of being one of his patients. He is up to date in his field, has compassionate interventions and goes the extra mile for his patients. To have Island Psychiatry at his locations- is a gift to the community's mental well being. The NP, staff at Island Psychiatry is superb. They are available and provide quality care. I would highly recommend Dr. Solomon and the team."

Dr Solomon is a rare find: an amazing blend of remarkable intellect and compassion. He understands the brain/mind and behavior better than others, and is skillfully adept at explaining everything in terms that patients easily relate to. As a community primary care provider, I never hesitate to refer my patients to Dr. Solomon.

I have had an excellent experience with Dr. Solomon. I initially sought treatment for severe depression. I found him to be understanding, empathetic, and non-judgemental. He respects personal boundaries, which is very important and allowed me to over time establish trust. He never once made me feel inferior for my mental challenges, and alway treated the relationship as a partnership to strive for better mental health. I would highly recommend Dr. Solomon.

I see Dr. Solomon for medication. Unlike other doctors, who spend five minutes with you when you come in for a refill, Dr. Solomon talks with me about things that are going on in my life. He keeps up to date with medication and other research. I was fortunate to have found Dr. Solomon on a referral from my GP when I moved out here. If I had a close friend or relative who needed the services of a psychiatrist, I would recommend Dr. Solomon without a second thought.

Dr. Solomon is an outstanding psychiatrist. He helped me get through a deep, dark horrible depression many years ago. He worked with me with cognitive therapy and medication. I feel fantastic now and am leading a normal life. Dr. Solomon spends ti me with his patients unlike many psychiatrists who will only spend 5 minutes and write you a perscription for meds and ask you how you are doing. Dr.Solomon is very caring. He, in my opinion, is the best psychiatist in Suffolk county.

As a professional in healthcare I have interacted with many psychiatrists but there have been few that I would trust to collaborate in my mental health care decisions and those of my family. Our relationship with this provider has spanned more than a decade and I have recommended him many times for his expertise, professionalism and insight. It is quite easy to forget that psychiatry is an art and a science. Dr Solomon is always current and very supportive/empathetic. Highly recommend!

A forthcoming professional. In my experience, Dr. Solomon stays abreast of current scholarship and knowledge of the medications he deals with, which has made our clinical sessions more comprehensive and mutually understanding. In the past, his clerical staff were a bit confusing to work with (never gave me a serious issue), but this has not kept me or my family from maintaining a positive relationship with his operation as a whole.

I have been a patient of Dr. Solomon’s for over 20 years. I trust him with my mental health and have recommended him to numerous people. He is conservative and believes in prescribing the least possible, yet most effective dose, while providing the followup * necessary *, to make sure that I am both mentally and physically achieving the best possible health. He is upfront with his fees and the insurance he accepts. He is educated, professional and ethical. I thank him for his years of support. DK
