he is completely rude. Don’t care about your well-being. He didn’t even do a follow up appointment after my surgery after he almost killed me!

Excellent Care
I had robotic inguinal hernia repair by Dr. Awad recently. My entire experience from pre-op to post-op was excellent. I was up and walking the same day and didn't even need a single pain pill. I am grateful for his skilled hands and the efficiency of his entire office staff. Thank you!

Gastric sleeve surgery
Telehealth
Everything stood out the way that they did not treat you like a patient but the way they treat you like you’re an actual person and they treat you like they care about you because they really do care about you. Dr. Award wants everybody to live the best quality of life, and he helped me no matter how many hoops I had to jump through he was there every step of the way, and so was Natalie. I strongly suggest anybody who’s thinking about the gastric sleeve surgery to consider Dr. Award I went through many doctors down in our area and he was the only one that was actually there and stood out. He didn’t rush our appointments. He made time one on one new me by first name . It really does make you feel important when somebody cares about you and they take your health seriously you mess up your life by gaining weight, he can help you change your life all for the better. If your goal in life is that you want to wear better clothes and feel better about your self, he is the one to call!

Best Pain management post op
Dr. Awad was amazing at managing pain after surgery. His dedicated team are compassionate and highly dedicated to getting the best outcomes for thier patients. I had several family member on stand- to come help me walk every 3 hours. I didn't need to call anyone to come, because the CNA's (Autum, Marlem) and nurses (Carol, Amy, Ashley)were so kind and encouraging. Best Doctor, nurses, overall experience.

Fast and Almost painless
All but one of my pre-surgery visits were tele-health/online. Which worked amazingly due to COVID and the fact I live 14 hours from Dr. Awad's office. Dr. Awad is pleasant and brief. He answers all your questions and helps to guide you on your bariatric decisions. The surgery itself for me was way less painful than a c-section, I was up walking the same day. Trying to pass the air/gas created from surgery was painful, but I did not have to use my pain meds more than one day. The liquid diet is tough, but do-able. The only complaint I had was the protein drink mix, and vitamins which were a required purchase from the office prior to surgery. 1) they were expensive and 2) I greatly disliked the vitamins.

Dr. Awad is an angel and cares about his patients. He's very attentive, proactive and gives hope and light to severe/ special cases; such as mine. I have encountered many doctors/ surgeons down through the years and I've seen the bad and ugly. He is the good and exception because he sees you as a person; not a payday or medical record number. If you do your part you can trust he's going to do his. The staff is always cheerful and give 100% +

This review is NOT about his competence as a surgeon. My wife was scheduled to get her gall bladder removed. We waited 3 months because he was booked. Leading up to the surgery we repeatedly tried to get final confirmation that the surgery was insurance approved. 5 days before surgery we finally find out he is no longer in network. We waited 3 months and spent thousands flying her mother out (I had a business trip). Now we're back to square 1 and face another wait. Ridiculous poor service.

Every time a long wait. 2pm appt which I arrive on time. Almost 3pm for a 30 sec post surgery followup without looking at it. Also some people have to stand in waiting room due to a full room

Beware, found out years later my left kidney failed and is gone due to ureter damage during surgery and multiple surgical clips and suture material left in my colon at the operation site. A Severe huge hernia from large abscess eroded my abdominal wall from no drain tubes placed during surgery no muscle wall left. New fistula from colon to belly button from the surgical site. I am facing major surgical procedures now with a great possibility of more complications.

Dr. Awad was called upon by our request after another surgeon performed a procedure incorrectly on my wife. He informed us of the next procedures that would need to be done, and essentially saved my wife's life. I am forever indebted to Dr. Awad and cannot thank him enough for his kindness, skill and overall compassion for our family during a very difficult time in our lives. I believe that Dr. Awad is one of the best Bariatric surgeons in the state, and highly recommend him.

It has been almost 3 years since Surgery and I am slowly losing the rest my weight. I had a Total Gastric Bypass surg done by Dr Awad. He is one of the most caring person that I felt completing competence in having my surgery. I am so glad I did. Outstanding Surgeon and always concerned about you after you have had surg. My blood pressure was on the way up and so was my blood sugar. I am almost 3 years out still no blood pressure problems or diabetes. Thanks Dr Awad.

Recently had hernia surgery. I was seen by Dr. Awad at his office first. He was courteous and friendly towards me. Carefully explained about the upcoming surgery and aftercare. Surgery went great and I am now very well. Still recovering but very pleased with the results. I would highly recommend Dr. Awad to a relative or best friend. Thank you.
