Dr Ensley has been caring for my son for about a year and a half. When my son was 25, he was diagnosed with late stage heart failure. He had never been sick, rarely had to be seen by any doctors. When this came on, Keaton (my son) was already at only 17% of his heart functioning. After a year of taking a regimen of meds prescribed by Dr Ensley, I'm ecstatic to say he is up to 35%! That's all because Dr Ensley knew what he was doing.

Dr Ensley seemed annoyed that I had seen other cardiologist. He spent very little time talking to me , but a lot of time typing lots of information into my chart that was not true . It’s quite frightening that trying to be your own advocate in finding the right doctor after experiencing an unusual heart attack would be such an issue to a doctor . He probably is a great doctor to the usual heart conditions. But, has no interest in anything unusual. He mentioned that I had been seen by a couple of doctors that had stopped by my hospital bed for like 10 minutes. And even mentioned that I did not remember seeing him in 2016!!!! I don’t remember much during that hospital stay.

Owe him my life!
Kept me alive for 20 years. Stints, bypass referral, 2 pacemakers & defibulator, mitral valve and much more. He is brief, direct, and to the point.

Mom’s TAVR
When my mother had her surgery, Dr Ensley came in and explained exactly what was going to happen. He informed us that there was a very good possibility that he’d have to put in a temporary pacemaker and keep my mom an extra night. He explained everything in words that made sense to me. Mom didn’t remember any of this conversation after her surgery, but she is well and was well taken care of. I highly recommend him and his associates and staff.

He took the time to explain things to me when I was concerned about certain things with my meds. Never acted as though I was a bother, always answering all my questions! I have to admit I'm not easy to deal with, so, in that light I have to say he's probably the best Doc I've encountered.

He has an informative speech he has memorized that he gives to a new patient. If you interrupt him while he is telling you what he thinks you need to know, he tells you to wait until he is finished to ask a question. By the time he has finished, you will probably forget your question, so write it down ahead of time. I was taking Amlodipine with terrible side effects, so he thought it necessary to double the dosage. I never went back.

Trying to set appointment for October, here it is September the 26th and the doctor has not released his schedule for October, so the office staff cannot set an appointment. When I do get to see him he is in and out, doesn't like a lot of questions especially if he is running behind.
