Highly recommend Dr Thomas
Each visit Dr Thomas took time to explain everything. He was very thorough with his exam. My husband surgery was successful. But office staff needs communication improvement, took over 1 month to get referral completed after several calls and getting office manager involved.

Dr. Thomas rocks!
Dr.Thomas is a very kind and skilled professional. He performed my vasectomy and it went very smoothly. He is meticulous and very thorough in his work. While performing my surgery he was impressing on his assistant these qualities; "the devil is in the details" was his term. He and his staff made me feel as comfortable as possible in an uncomfortable position. Afterward he insisted on speaking with me and my wife to answer all questions and make sure we knew how to handle the recovery. And even though we are moving away soon he asked that we send him a copy of the recovery report so he knows how I'm doing. I've never had a doctor do that. An absolutely lovely, caring, funny man who is one of the best at what he does. I don't think you could find someone better as your urologist.

Life Saver
I had prostate cancer surgery 15 months ago performed by dr Thomas, He is the very best. Dr Raju took the time to explain to my wife and I our options without any rush. We knew he was extremely busy but he said this is an important decision and I will take what ever time you need to answer all your questions and concerns. He made us feel likes we were life long friends. Dr. Thomas has performed over 2000 surgeries over the past 20 years. When it was time to wheel me into surgery, he personally came to get me with his team and anesthesiologist. I asked if he mind if I prayed for him and he said I would appreciate the prayers. I have never been treated so kind and considerate as dr Thomas treated my wife and I. I am forever grateful for his commitment and love for his patients. He saved my life and I am indebted to him forever. Thank you dr Thomas for all you do

Dr. Thomas is not only the best in his field he makes you feel like family. He truly cares not only about his patient but the patient's wife. When my PSA test went very high he made sure my wife knew what was going on and assured her I would be well cared for. His waiting room was full but he takes the time to keep us well informed as to how he will handle it and has a positive, happy attitude. He calmed both our fears. We highly recommend Dr. Thomas in all aspects of what a doctor should be.

Why did we choose Dr. Raju Thomas after consulting with other surgeons? Because he is the real deal! Dr. Thomas and his staff spent amble time explaining the risks and the expected outcome for my prostate cancer. As a 47 year old man this was huge for me and my wife. Dr. Thomas doesn't sugar coat your case. He is an outstanding surgeon but aside from the surgeon he is a GOOD person and it shows.

I had a large kidney stone and due to the position of my kidney, had 5 surgeries in 6 months to break it up and try to remove it before I went to Dr. Thomas. He took on the challenge and was able to remove the stones with robotic laparoscopic surgery. I tell everyone how skilled he is and I highly recommend Dr. Thomas.

Dr. Thomas is an excellent world-renowned urologist and surgeon. His expertise in both robotic prostatectomy and reconstructive surgery is second to no one. I met with several of the top urologist in the country and chose Dr. Thomas because of his expertise, confidence, knowledge and bedside manners. I needed a highly skilled expert surgeon because I had prior extensive abdominal surgery. Dr. Thomas was very caring and attentive throughout my time under his care. Strongly recommend him.

I was extremely pleased with Dr. Thomas. He was the only doctor in the country to agree to perform an extremely difficult surgery. As busy as he was, he was very accessible and I was able to call his cell phone at any time. He was very thorough in his explanation of all the potential risks. Despite the high risk nature of my surgery, he was completely successful and I had no major complications.

Dr. Thomas successfully removed my father's prostate cancer without complications when no other doctor would. My father had a lot of complicating factors which made the 'normal' approach to prostatectomy impossible. My dad met with 8-10 surgeons from top hospitals around the nation who couldn't help him before a doctor recommended Dr. Thomas. It is no exaggeration to say that Dr. Thomas saved my dad's life when no one else could. In addition, he is caring and explains everything clearly.

I can say with complete sincerity that Dr. Thomas is the most skilled and compassionate physician I have ever known. I say this as a former ICU nurse raised in a family of surgeons/doctors. He went above and beyond in every aspect of care and I can not give a higher recommendation. After robotic pyeloplasty (reconstruction of kidney/ ureter junction with entry from abdomen), I was up and about on post op day #1 and active without any pain meds by POD #2. This man is and has a true gift.

I highly recommend Dr. Thomas and his staff for any urinary problems. I was referred to Dr. Thomas because of an elevated PSA and PBH. I've been in Dr. Thomas' care for more than 5 years and am extremely satisfied with the care I've been given and the personal relationship that I have with this excellent doctor. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Thomas to my family and friends.

July 1, 2016 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. 54 years old, overweight, 2 previous pulmonary embolism, A-FIB, high blood pressure. Baylor, MD Anderson and a local surgeon refused to operate. Dr Raju Thomas had no doubt. Within 4 weeks, I had successful surgery, 3 months later, no sign of cancer. He did get my attention and have lost weight and have started to take care of myself. Without Dr Thomas, I had no future. I am forever grateful to him.

I was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma involving multiple tumors on both kidneys. In two separate operations, Dr. Raju Thomas and his team were able to successfully remove both cancerous kidneys and in the first surgery was able to salvage a non-cancerous section of my right kidney and to auto-transplant that section into my pelvic area. This surviving kidney tissue was enough to allow me to keep my renal function going and avoided my having to become a dialysis patient for life.
