Wonderful Doctor and staff
I needed to bring my mom to Dr Bansal to review her case and preform an endoscopy with ultra sound. She had multiple issues going on and possible pancreatic cancer. At 85 she is very fragile and was very anxious. Both Dr Bansal and his staff cared for her in the best manner possible and she is on the road to recovery. Next sending my husband to his office to treat his reflux and strictures.

I was referred to Dr. Bansal by my doctor. The moment he walked into the examining room with his pleasant demeanor, I knew I was going to like him. I have achalasia, and needed to have a procedure performed as soon as possible. It was an emergency situation, as I have lost an enormous amount of weight. Dr. Bansal took the time to review my test results as well as my options. He took out his cell phone and started texting different doctors. He immediately scheduled an endoscopy for the next day. He had already spoken with the doctors that specialize in achalasia and got me an appointment with them within a few days. I could never have achieved that on my own; it would have taken a month or more to get an appointment. He is a wonderful, compassionate and caring man. I cannot thank him enough for all he has done to help me. I am forever grateful. I also want to mention his wonderful staff. Every single one of them are awesome!

Recently I had to go to the emergency room at Saint Francis hospital.Upon admission I mentioned that Dr Bansal was my gastroenterologist and requested that he be notified. That night around 10 pm ,after working a full day,Dr. Bansal visited me in my room.My last visit with him was around two years previous. He not only was glad to see me but he was fully knowledgeable about my previous and present health situation. After a productive conversation he was on his way.Without getting into all the details, the doctor scheduled the necessary tests and I was happily discharged a short time later.

April 28, 2021 - Today was the date for my repeat colonoscopy (Dr. Bansal performed my endoscopy in December 2020, and my last colonoscopy in 2017). Dr. Bansal and his staff made me feel like I was the most important patient in the practice. Whenever I see Dr. Bansal he greets me warmly, never rushes me, and takes the time to answer all my questions. Kristin, the scheduling coordinator, carefully explained the prep procedure and returned my call promptly the day before my colonoscopy when I was confused about the directions. Courtney at the front desk is a star receptionist. Marisol and Shoba, the surgical assistants, made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked into the suite until I walked out. The amazing Dr. Chen offered me a Pina Colada (IV) and described the sand on the beach until it was "lights-out". And of course, the gentle, caring demeanor of Dr. Bansal is one you rarely encounter in a busy doctor these days. I'm so very comfortable in this office!

Dr Bansal was recommended to me years ago from a well respected L.I. Surgeon we knew. I needed a second opinion and was extremely happy with the way Dr Bansal looked further into my issue with different testing, so much he became my gastroenterologist. I trust him totally he seems to have a reputation for being a very knowledgeable doctor and his pleasant disposition is such a plus, I personally found him to be very accommodating and trustworthy and would recommend him highly.

Not enough characters available here for me to type my full complaint!! He seemed so nice when I went for my consultation. I scheduled my colonoscopy for August 2018 - they cancelled. Rescheduled for 2/21/19 - they cancelled, AGAIN!! I am done with him. I just made an appointment with another doctor, for March. Gee, Doc, sure hope I don't have colon cancer!!

Horrible office. Canceled appointment last minute many times. Then PA saw me. She was good but I never saw the doctor who is only interested in doing colonoscopy and has no time for you.

The first time I met Dr. Bansal was my colonoscopy. He came to my bedside, took my hand, introduced himself, and assured me that everything was going to be fine. He continued to hold my hand until I fell sweetly asleep. After the procedure, he took the time to speak with me in the office and didn’t rush me. In less than an hour he developed a trust that few doctors are able to accomplish. Incredible (and unusual) caring and compassion. Bravo!
