Dr. Rajesh Vakani, MD

I’ve seen Dr Vakani for 3 and a half years now. He is very caring, professional and concerned about patient health. I highly recommend him.

Had to get a clean EKG to be approved for a knee surgery. I went to his office and got a clean EKG. I was told I had to be cleared by him personally, so was asked to come back two days later for another EKG, which was also perfect. Rather than clear me, he referred to a stress test two years prior, where he thought he 'might have seen something'. He smugly told me that to clear me, he was going to make me get a procedure that he 'recommended I should consider' two years prior. Without the test, I would not be cleared for my knee surgery, which was already scheduled. He made me get a P.E.T. Scan test that I was told before the procedure would be $5,500. It's a brutal test. I paid my $500 portion (later to be billed an additional $309), then he charged the insurance another $7,500. Test showed I was perfect, and didn't need it at all. This was 100% a money-grab. It was so blatant it was disgusting. Find another doc if want to avoid unnecessary procedures and billing.

Dr Vakani made me feel comfortable and answered my questions and concerns. I have full faith in him and his staff is also great. His care and empathy guided me through some tough times.

First off let me say that I am a coward about going to the doctors and yes I am a nurse, no laughing! Then I met Dr Vakani who was great I mean really listened and was concerned. I will refer any patient I come across to him from now on! Let's not forget behind every amazing doctor is an even more fab staff!! Thank you to everyone I met and spoke with there!!
