Colonoscopy put my wife in the ER
My wife went in for routine colonoscopy procedure early in the morning. By approximately 4 PM, she was having severe pains in her upper left quadrant. We call the doctor's office which was closed but voice message recommended going to the emergency room and that's what we did. Her pain was so intense that it took three Oxy C and eventually a dose of Fentanyl to take the edge off of the pain. X-ray showed the fluid around her spleen. During a follow-up phone call the following day, the doctor admitted that due to my wife's small stature he should have used a pediatric endoscope. The emergency room bill was over $16,000.00. I was provided contact information for their VP of compliance Cheryl Harrison and submitted a letter of claim and supporting information requesting that they accept at least the co-pay charges for the emergency room visit. Harrison advised she would review and get back to me. Nothing but crickets since then.

I cannot recommend this doctor enough. He is so caring and compassionate. Dr. Ramachandran is helpful and has excellent bedside manner. We found him by chance but he probably saved my grandmothers life this week. I know we did not just find him by chance. The universe sent us just what we needed.
