Lack of effective communication and care
They have canceled many appointments without effective communication. The time I would call to resolve and to schedule to be seen, I would either be on hold for long period of time or not receive a call back. The final communication after talking to 2 different office managers…”Dr Apte is no longer accepting new patients”…it is concerning with this type of and lack of communication and care for the patient. The other concerning thought…my Mom is a patient of Dr Apte…you would think caring for the family unit would be more important than ‘we can’t add a new patient’.

My experience was great due to Dr. Apte’s professionalism throughout the entire process. He is skilled in his craft and I would recommend him to anyone else in the same situation as myself.

Dr. Apte restored my vision and I am extremely grateful to him. He is a leading retina specialist, and my ophthalmologist in Illinois recommended him to me. Dr. Apte is very kind, compassionate and extremely skilled. I am very grateful that he restored my vision.

This so called doctor claims to be an inherited disease specialist able to treat and track patients with RP, CHM, or other rare eye diseases. He is not qualified to do so. In claiming to be so qualified, he makes it more difficult for patients who have to waste time seeing him, only to be refered to actual specialists that know what they are doing. Shame on him.

Great doctor and helped figure out that I had a blood disorder and that is what caused the stroke in my eye. The other doctor just jumped in and gave me a shot on my eye and not try to figure out what caused it.
