Avoid at all costs.
Dangerous - ignored his reality and tried to push their narrative of him after one hour as being gospel on my husband. He worked with Kumar’s nurse practitioner and a newer doctor to the practice. I sent him with a dear friend because I thought the DAT Scan had given enough evidence to actually treat him. Just avoid at all costs. Ignored DAT Scan quant values and provided no medications. The nurse practitioner kept saying he likely tilted his head in the scan but that’s not possible. They strapped his head into the machine. Also, the negative z scores existed on both sides at almost the exact same number. So, tilting is likely not the issue here. When both sides of his brain are impacted equally, there might be a real issue here. I still think it’s caused by his medications he was taking, and I’m hopeful he’ll get better. I wouldn’t recommend this practice to my worst enemy. I’m only praying when your family is in this unfortunate situation, they don’t end up here.

Best movement disorder Dr I have seen
I have been seeing him for nearly 4 years. He gave me options no other physician had! His exams are crazy thorough and very in depth. His bedside manner is probably not the best but I appreciate a no nonsense approach and straightforwardness.

Best experience
I saw Dr Kumar and his staff every couple months for over 2 years. I had spinal taps and often was there several hours over two days. The doctor was extremely organized and intelligent. The overall experience ranks #1. Dr Kumar knows his stuff. The staff was friendly and also very good. Liza was his nurse I worked with most

Please do NOT come here. This doctor lacks empathy, was very rushed, ill tempered, and did not listen to any of my concerns. I was constantly cut off, compared to his family members instead of research, and not validated on the symptoms I was experiencing. He did not answer my questions and was hard to understand. He also did not read my MRI/chart nor knew my diagnosis until I brought it up at the END of the appointment. Only prescribed me steroids and nerve pain meds, temporarily, with 0 refills, and told me I wouldn’t be able to run again. He said there is nothing else I can do and have to live like this for the rest of my life. I was very disappointed, did not get any actual help, and waited so long to be seen. Staff, specifically the emergency line staff, was also very cold and rude. This is your back- it can be very debilitating. Please go to someone that’s kind, listens, and actually cares more about your health than collecting a paycheck.

Disappointing at best. Infuriating at worst. Know it all attitude. He talks You listen. His treatment plan. No consultation with you. Nothing but a drug factory. And don’t you DARE question him. He may be well regarded by some, but too many reviews 100% mirror my experience with him. Three visits which took forever to get scheduled. Will never go back. And I had such high hopes.

Terrible physician. He was rude & uncaring. He treated me like his time was worth more than mine. He was hard to understand and did not answer my questions. The appointment was rushed. I do not recommend him at all.

One of the worst doctors I have ever seen in my life. Aggressive, short tempered and disrespectful. If Dr doesn't have empathy for patient, he should not be a doctor. I am a Parkinson patient with lot of dystonia and because of extreme dystonia I have to cancel the appointment. That was the first time I missed any appointment. I requested him not to charge NO SHOW FEE but he personally got involved to make sure that he collects that fees. Now if doctor won't understand his patient, who will. At another appointment he told me QUOTE " Mr. xxxx, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET BETTER... UNDERSTAND IT"... Dr. Kumar inspite of all your insults, I am doing better now... much better after I left you and went UCHealth. Please stay away from this doctor. He is intelligent but no empathy.

Dr. Kumar gave me my life back! Because of his thorough investigative paperwork prior to my first visit, he and his brilliant PA realized that one of my medications was the probable cause of my symptoms of Parkinson's. It was the correct diagnosis and within five weeks I was walking again after more than two years of being completely disabled and after seeing two previous neurologists who failed to read my phamacology list. This doctor is a genius!

Dr Kumar and Vicki are both very thorough, knowledgeble clinicians. It is much easier to communicate and understand Vicki however as Dr Kumar always seems rushed. The scheduling at this office however is terrible.

Dr Kumar is an excellent doctor. He is very high energy. He tells it like it is and that's fine with me. His office is very busy and it takes a while to get an appointment . You can leave a message but his staff does not return the calls timely so keep calling them back. But it's worth the wait to have him see you. So be patient and you will be glad.

I trust him as an incredibly knowledgeable physician and also as a caring one. He is demanding of his patients - expects us to know the answers to the questions he asks and he is a quick speaker. These traits don't always fit with some patients, but I'm pleased to have someone taking care of my health who expects me to participate on my own behalf! He is smart, caring, and a great target to try to get a rise out of him!
