I have been to many psychiatrists over my lifetime battle with depression, I have found none less professional than this man. He spoke over me, made outlandish statements and insulted my intelligence within 15 minutes. I listened to him accost his staff from the waiting room, in which I was left waiting for ages. I could go on and on with the amount of awfulness I have seen, the only redeeming quality is that he works with insurance as most psychiatrists do not however this is more a reflection of our health system than the Dr.

Doctor and staff at the early treatment center poorly prescribed medications and injectable fluids that made my eyes basically roll back in my head... the patient has since “passed away”

Dr. Raj just told my sons schizophrenic father who’s been having massive panic attacks and looking for help that he was a drug addict, for asking for medication that will help him! My sons father calls me six times a day to talk to me because he’s having major panic attacks and hearing voices and having delusions. He’s been a paranoid schizophrenic for 30 years. This man doesn’t take time to talk to him and today called him a drug addict which sent him into a panic attack. Shame on you Doctor!!! I will be calling !

Dr Raj is a highly skilled research-oriented Psychiatrist. He is dedicated to helping those with severe mental illness and assisting with increasing their quality of life. I have known him for over ten years and he has successfully treated my son who has Schizophrenia. He is always available and while unconventional at times, he ALWAYS has his best interest in mind. I appreciate his skill and care so much.

I have been going to Early Treatment Center in Ann Arbor for 2 years now. Dr Raj and NP Payne are almost always able to schedule me in within 1 day of making the phone call. Appointments are professional and approached in a clinical respect.

I live far from Ann Arbor but I make the drive. I find Dr. Raj to be quite knowledgeable and understanding, and he seeks to incorporate some slight psychotherapy into each appointment, so it doesn’t feel like he is pushing pills at me. Additionally he has given practical advice to help my situation and offers Tele-Medicine since I go to school out of state for part of the year. Furthermore it is easy to get appointments with the Dr, he will make adjustments to fit your schedule. I recommend him

Dr. Raj could be charitably described as an eccentric. More to the point, he is unprofessional. He often gave conflicting advice (e.g. "You need to live at home" v. "You need to be more self-sufficient"). He often addressed my mother, who accompanied me as an informed support system, instead of me, the adult patient. He asked that I leave the room so he could give her a diagnosis of Borderline PD, a diagnosis made with no clinical testing. He made insulting remarks unrelated to mental health.
