Dr. Rajan Gupta, MD

I just received (Feb 2021) a bill in the mail for an appointment from summer of 2017. I went to one appointment at Dr. Gupta's office and I have been billed THREE times for this ONE appointment. At the time of my appointment the office manager WROTE DOWN my debit card information but did not try to pull the payment until a month later... My husband then went to the office and physically wrote them a check for the FULL BALANCE due. They called several months after that to say that the bill hadn't been paid and they miraculously "found it" after I insisted that it has been paid. FOUR YEARS LATER they mailed a bill to for a "past due" balance. When I called the office manager refused to discuss my payment history, when I asked for the information to be emailed to me she said I could pick it up (I live 4 hours away) and when I said I couldn’t she said it would go to collections and hung up on me. They disconnected the office phones when I attempted to call back to address the billing issue

Saw this so called Dr for pain in abdomen. He never touched me and said I have a gallbladder problem go to the hospital. He also said “don’t tell them I sent you and don’t tell anyone you were here, now get out.” Best part he billed my insurance co. Talk about a crook. I won’t even let him look at my dog.

Worst Doctor that I have ever been to. It took a total of about 5 minutes to see him. He would not listen and was busy putting down a great doctor that I had seen earlier. He said that he didn't give out medication for being nauseous or pain. WHAT IS THE POINT OF SEEING THIS SO CALLED DOCTOR. HE is just out for money. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. That is what I am doing...NEVER GOING BACK TO THIS QUACK.

Dr does not listen to you. Has an “I know it all” attitude. Visits are rushed. I had a complaint of rectal bleeding and he diagnosed hemrroids with even an exam. He is in it for the money.

I think Dr. Gupta is good medically but his office is about is MONEY. I was charged 2 copays on a procedure which was covered 100% by insurance. When they filed the claim to the insurance they filed it as 0% copay, who's pocket is my copay in? Hope you don't see this Dr. In public his office will charge you a copay. I am putting this Dr's. Billing practices under insurance investigation. Calling BBB, LOCAL NEWS & ANY ONE ELSE TO STOP THIS FROM HAPPING THE OTHERS.

I got an appt right away with Dr. Gupta. Everything went fine, his office staff scheduled me for a colonoscopy. One of his staff who gave me the information kept repeating the information. When I nicely told her u have already told me that she snapped at me, well I want to make sure u understand! I understood completely the first time. I fax a note to change my appt + send medication list, was never taken care of. Sent another fax to cancel. Got two nasty calls from his office staff, by by!

A man of few words but a highly competent doctor Upper GI endoscopy and dilation performed within a week after office visit.

I went to Dr. Gupta because I was having recurring upper stomach issues. He stated that I needed to have a colonoscopy & endoscopy done. I have to get Dr. Gupta credit, he did find flat polyp & referred me to MUSC. I was told these types of polyps are hard to catch. What I didn't like about Dr. Gupta is I had to ASK him to look @ my records from my prev dr . He barely looked at them.
