Capable Dr; incompetent, overwhelmed office staff
As a new patient, a test was required which Medicare denied. Dr. Rabah told me this was a coding issue as the test ordered was basic, main line care, and that she would be negatively affected had she not ordered this test, that I should get the office manager, Stephanie, to contact Quest Labs with the correct code to resolve the issue for a fiull refund. Months later, I am still not able to resolve the issue w the lab, or the office of Dr. Rabah. I have written a personal letter to Dr. Rabah that was never acknowledged, sent emails left unanswered, and have not been able to get calls returned. When initially I asked Stephanie if Dr. Rabah could help, she told me no-that is what she was being paid for. But she's always too overwhelmed to deal, or to follow through; the details of her contacts w Quest differ significantly from what she has told me. I am 70 yrs old; I have never been treated so unprofessionally & dismissively by a Dr anywhere. A complete loss of confidence.

Dr. Rabah is an Excellent Infectious Disease Doctor and a Wonderful Advocate for her patients, but only if you are COMPLIANT! FACT: Most people with an infectious disease did NOT follow Generally Accepted Safety Procedures and that's how they ended up infected in the first place. I've been a patient for 6 years and have never been infected with a communicable disease. Why: Because I am Compliant! I may have missed 5 daily doses in 6 years (2,190 days). If you are not going to be compliant, you are wasting your and Dr. Rabah's time. I've delt with the University of Pennsylvania and Johns Hopkins Hospitals. Dr. Rabah has been a Great Advocate for me. In return, I have been extremely Compliant because that is My Job! Medicine is Partnership and if you refuse to participate, you are wasting everyone's time. I hate to be brutally honest. Dr. Rabah is a Fantastic Doctor and a Great Advocate, but you must do your part.

I saw a nurse practitioner after I saw Rabah, and thankfully the NP was much more knowledgeable.

Bad Experience
Telehealth
I hope if Dr Rabah is ever a breast cancer patient on chemo that she is never treated the way she treated me. I am unfortunate to have an infectious disease complication along with the chemo. After a hospital stay from the issues, my doctors from Johns Hopkins and PennMedicine decided on a plan for me to be able to continue chemo. Either Dr Rabah didn’t read the notes or didn’t get them, but either way she would not listen to my explanation of why I was taking meds differently than she had planned. She told me that she would no longer treat me, and to go find a new doctor. She chastised me made and made me feel awful. I was upset for days. She was rude and condescending. My medical condition is very stressful, this was the last thing I needed. My oncologist agrees.
