Dr. Rahul Mehan, MD

Although I have shared one review already praising Dr. Mehan, this one comes after I had my Rezum procedure with Dr. Mehan in charge. The procedure was an overwhelming success. Dr. Mehan knew exactly what areas to target, increased the number of treatments as necessary during the procedure, and walked me through it from start to finish. Dr. Mehan is an incredibly gifted doctor who exhumes confidence and his intuitive style is a marvel to watch, not to mention, of course, the precision of his medical skills. If you need a urologist, look no further. Thank you again Dr. Mehan, see you in a couple of months.

I wanted to share my experience with my husband’s recent biopsy results. Unfortunately, it took over six weeks to receive the results, which was quite concerning. Additionally, there were privacy issues at the QC office, as the reception area lacked clear separation between front and back desk options to provide confidentiality. I hope they address these delays and improve their privacy measures in the future.

After seeing a couple of other Urologists for my enlarged prostate issue with no satisfaction, I did my own research and found Dr. Mehan. He was able to do a complete work up on my first visit and recommend a procedure for me. I really appreciated this because I drove nearly 3 hours for this appointment. They got me scheduled for surgery in about 2 weeks. The aquablation procedure went very smoothly and I now have my life back! I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Mehan. From his bedside manner, to his professional skills, he is top notch. I highly recommend him for any urological condition.

After seeing Dr. Mehan the first time I was under the impression that he cared about his patients. Very friendly and seemed to care about issues for my visit. The follow up visit was not in the same nature was very rushed and didn't have my lab work so he read me someone else's lab work and told me to make a follow up appointment. Later that day I got my lab work updated through my labcorp portal. That was how i found out i was lied to. I called Dr. Mehan's office the next day to ask why i was read the wrong results and pushed out the door and the medical assistant confirmed that they did not have my lab work so they didnt know why i was given results. I asked to have Dr. Mehan review my result and prescribe the medication that was discussed originally and the never called back. I called Dr. Mehan's office 3 time with no results, no answers, and no help. I will never recommend his office.

I can't thank Dr. Mehan and his staff for the quality of life that the HIFU procedure has given me and my wife. My PSA was 8.0 and I had cancer in both lobes of my prostate. My PSA 6 months after HIFU procedure was .4 and my quality of life couldnt be any better. I called to schedule my 1 year follow up with EVU and I received a phone call later that day from Dr. Mehan and he wanted to follow up to and make sure everything was going well. Dr Mehan bedside manor is unbelievable good and the time he takes out of his busy schedule to call his patients to make sure that you are taken care of. There are a lot of choices for prostate cancer but after my battle with it there is only 1 choice for a return to a great quality of life and that is HIFU procedure and Dr. Mehan!!

I had a Urolift procedure by Dr. Mehan. I had a small amount of bleeding for about ten days, very little pain. My night time urinary problem is very much improved as is my sexual function. Over all I am very happy with my experience at Dr. Mehan's office.

Dr. Mehan was awesome! He is very friendly and professional. And makes make a situation that could be uncomfortable very smooth and easy. I will definitely recommend him to family and friends and already have a couple times. I appreciated his casual conversation and would go back if this was the type of thing that you would go back for. Use Dr. Mehan. You won’t be disappointed.

Dr Mehan was great! I was very nervous about my procedure but he was great and put me at ease. I have since referred numerous friends to Dr Mehan. In my opinion there is nobody better.

Dr Mehan was recommended to me by no less than 5 people that I know. They said he was, by far, the best in the business. They were 100% correct. My procedure was done perfectly and painless. Not only is he a fantastic doctor but he is actually a really cool guy. We were having such a great time talking during my procedure I actually at one time forgot what was even happening! ?? If you need a vasectomy, do yourself a favor, go to the best in the business.

Dr. Mehan is a charming incredibly arrogant surgeon who will lie to his patient. I was scheduled for a procedure under conscious sedation. Just before being taken back to the operating room, I was told by Dr. Mehan that the anesthesiolgist had decided that conscious sedation was too risky for me and that the procedure would be done under a local anesthesia and that I would feel only mild discomfort. Mind you, he never bothered to discuss this with me prior to being prepared for surgery. In the surgical suite the anesthesiologist let slip that it was NOT his decision to not use conscious sedation. The procedure was the most painful of my life. I have never screamed like that and I was begging Dr. Mehan to stop, which he did not. Mehan had obviously decided on his own to avoid any liability from conscious sedation and instead inflict the incredible pain on his patient instead. Mehan lied to me about who decided against proper pain Rx and about the amount of pain I would endure.

Was referred to Dr. Mehan for consideration for HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) treatment for stage 1 prostate cancer. D.r Mehan concluded I was a good candidate so I proceeded and had the procedure on April 6th. No side affects at all, which is why I considered HIFU over surgery and radiation! I am very happy with how the procedure went. Dr. Mehan has a great demeanor and is very knowledgeable...leading expert in HIFU in the southwest. Now it is wait and see how things work out. Blood test in September! Very excited to see my results. I am beyond pleased with my decision to go with Dr. Mehan and the HIFU procedure.

On Thursday March 25, 2021 I was scheduled for a cystoscopy with sedation I came to the office thinking this going be in and out . Was sedated I wake up and have a 18 catheter inserted. Was told that I needed to be dialated and the catheter will be inserted for the weekend . I had pain all night with the 18 catheter call office had the catheter removal couldn’t urinate after two hours came back to the office talk to the nurse assistant the nurse assistant was going to inserted the 18 catheter again. Said no . I been in two e.r since then because of this unauthorized catheter. This urologist change my quality of life in five days don’t go to this urologist under no circumstances .

I’m not a fan of Dr Rauhl Mehan for the following reasons I went to see Dr Mehan on the recommendation of a friend. At our first meeting I thought Dr Mehan was very knowledgeable and well spoken but also felt his front office staff was distant and had distain for the patients. I also found the music playing on the office system out of line for an office of any type. Regardless I felt good about Dr Mehan and scheduled a follow up visit for an invasive test to determine the proper treatment for my condition. At the second appointment the test went fine and I asked that my wife come into the exam room to understand the treatment the Dr was proposing and to get consensus on the next step, having the procedure recommended. At the end of the appointment, we all agreed on the procedure and to move ahead with it expeditiously. I was told that the person in charge would call me to schedule the procedure. Three weeks later I still had not heard from the person in charge of setting th

I had green light prostate surgery. I’m so glad I did this. I’m a new man. It was painless and recovery was instant. Dr Mehan is a great guy. Total confidence in him.

Dr. Mehan is extremely knowledgeable and personable. The HIFU procedure he performed went as planned without complication. I can't believe being cancer free could be so easy! His support staff were excellent, scheduling was easy, and follow-up was quick. Overall, a very good experience compared to my previous urologists and oncologist who just wanted surgery.

Excellent experience. Dr. Mehan is friendly, informative and thorough. He is like a breath of fresh air compared to my last urologist. who was treating me for prostate cancer. Thanks to Dr. Mehan I found that there was no cancer at all. He really seems to care about the welfare of his patients, unlike many other doctors who see you simply as a number. He has my highest recommendation, I'd give him 10 stars if I could.
