Amazing Staff and Doctors.
Today was my first visit with Desert Spine and Scoliosis. office. I first met with PA Addison and she was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions and was amazing. Then I met with Dr. Baig and Addison and we discussed my medical situation. I 100% recommend Dr. Baig and Addison. They are also super fun to chat with.

I highly recommend Desert Spine Center
I had very severe sciatic pain due to a herniated disc which was pinching my nerve. The pain was so severe, I was bed ridden, I could not sleep due to the pain, and I had to use crutches to get around. I was referred to the CORE institute. The spine specialist there was not very helpful. He barely wanted to answer any questions. He was so overly cautious it seemed he didn’t even want to help me. The only solution he offered was an epidural which did not work. I did a lot of research and knew that the only procedure I wanted was endoscopic nerve decompression. CORE did not offer this option. I was not willing to undergo open spinal surgery. I went to Desert Spine Center and saw Dr. Baig. When he saw my MRI he immediately said that he could perform the procedure. He was extremely confident, and I knew my problem would be solved. The day of the surgery, Dr. Baig again expressed very confidently, that he could decompress the nerve. The surgical staff was very friendly an

Top notch outfit
I had severe pain in my left leg that left me laid up at the house for a month. My wife and I made the 12 hour drive to see Dr. Baig and his team. We were treated better than I have ever been and any medical facility. The Dr. and his team knew what they were doing and were very professional during the whole process. After the procedure we got back in the vehicle and drove back home and I was working 2 days later. Top notch bunch at this place

Detailed and knowledgeable
Detailed and knowledgeable Dr. Baig spent a lot of time explaining my injury and what the next steps were. I was referred to Dr. Baig and I was impressed with his care and the options he gave me. It can be stressful finding the right Dr. and knowing if you made the right decision. I highly recommend Dr. Rafath Baig, MD to anyone who wants a professional who cares about his patients.

Dr. Baig is very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with in the beginning. His office is very rigidly managed and rules are not flexible even when patients are traveling long distances. If it were not for him being trustworthy and knowledgeable, the staff alone would have scared me off. He wanted me to return to work the day after a spinal fusion, in a neck brace on narcotic pain killers. I am revising my original review to include additional information. I definitely would NOT return!

I recently had disc replacement surgery with Dr. Baig, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Before the surgery, I was experiencing pain in my neck and shoulders, as well as numbness in both arms. I also had limited movement in my neck. Dr. Baig was able to diagnose the problem and reccomend the best course of action. The surgery went smoothly, and within a few days, I noticed a significant improvement in my mobility. I was able to move my neckwithout any pain or discomfort. Dr. Baigs expertise and confidence made me feel at ease throughout the entire process. It's been four months since my surgery, and I'm doing great. I can do things I never thought were possible before. I'm so greatful to Dr Baig and his team for their exceptional care. I highly reccomend Dr. Baig to anyone in need of disc replacement surgery.

Amazing!
I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Baig. Not only was he the only surgeon that I could find within driving distance that does disk replacements but he took the time to get to know me and my situation. I am an active 39 year old woman who competes in jiu-jitsu and was dealing with a sever case of degenerative disk disease. I was told by other spine doctors that a spinal fusion was the only option left for me. I did not like that answer and found out about disk replacement. Through that search I found Dr. Baig, and I am so glad I did. He did not just jump into a disk replacement, we worked through some non-evasive ideas first to make sure we knew exactly where my pain was coming from before he approved me for a disk replacement. He was always upfront and honest. It's been 7 weeks after my disk replacement surgery and I feel great. I knew a spinal fusion was the backup plan if something didn't go right but Dr. Baig didn't give up and made my disk replacement happen.

Amazing!!!!!
I have been seeing another neurosurgeon for possible back surgery due to bone loss and multiple spinal fractures. I went to see Dr Baig for a second opinion. Dr Baig helped me understand that I need to build bone in order to have a better outcome from any surgery. Totally made sense and not a band-aid, but a real solution. Dr Baig explained everything in an easy to understand way. Great office staff and P.A.'s. I highly recommend this practice.

Two months after surgery I feel great and no pain
First let me say I wish I had met Dr Baig years ago. I’ve had chronic lower back pain and sciatica down my left leg off and on for years. The older I got it became more frequent and symptoms lingered for weeks instead of days. I suffered for almost a month, after injections twice, I received no relief. I had a friend who had back surgery a few years ago, and upon asking him, he said Dr Baig had performed his surgery and he highly recommended him, so I made an appointment for an evaluation. I followed up with the pain clinic and they informed me that Dr Baig is where they refer their patients to. Dr Baig was very precise as what I needed to have done and was positive that it would give me long term relief. Dr Baig and his staff are outstanding and show genuine care about your health and are extremely willing to answer any questions and concerns you might have. Not only is Dr Baig a highly skilled surgeon he is a good guy and fun to talk too. Thanks Dr Baig Jerry M

Amazing experience pre and post surgery
Dr Baig literally changed my life for the better. I had a severely pinched nerve in my neck and needed to get surgery. Immediately at my first consult I felt comfortable and in good hands, I even walked away with a smile on my face during that scary time. Surgery day couldn't have gone better, the team he had also had great bedside manner and helped keep me calm. After the surgery and in the recovery room he came in and checked on me and made sure I was all good before releasing me. We knew exactly what to do after surgery and the days following to recover. It was truly instant pain relief and now 6 weeks post op I’m cleared for anything! I can't thank him enough, would recommend him over and over again.

Outstanding Surgeon
After years of back pain I was referred by my internist to Dr. Baig. He performed an ALIF with posterior, L5-S1, fusion surgery on my back. He is not only an extremely bright, highly skilled perfectionist, he also has a good sense of humor. Dr. Baig doesn’t waste time sugar-coating the surgery but tells it like it is. He thoroughly explained the procedure prior to surgery and answered all my questions. He chose to do the least invasive surgery to correct my back issues. After surgery I no longer experienced the old nagging, daily pain in my back and legs. I highly recommend Dr Baig. I feel so fortunate and grateful to have had him for my surgeon.

Awesome surgeon
Dr. Baig did a C4-C7 disc replacement and fusion on me 6 weeks ago. He explained every step of the process and everything he told me to expect was spot on. He and his entire staff are top notch. I will recommend him to anyone who needs orthopedic surgery. I cannot say enough good things about my experience. I am finally pain free, thank you Dr, Baig.

Excellent Dr and office staff
Dr Baig is absolutely amazing. Due to insurance issues I was forced to switch from another physician to Dr Baig and it was honestly the best thing that happened. He did a less an invasive procedure then originally planned by other physician. I’m so thankful he was thinking of the quality my quality of life. His office staff is also exceptional.

Dr Baig is the best
Doctor Baig dramatically improved the quality of life for my dad Chuck. His neck hasn’t been straight his whole life. He was struggling with pain and had bad balance. Dr Baig took the time to meet with us and answer our questions. Then he did a fantastic job operating on him. I’m so glad we found this clinic and Dr Baig!

$4000 to be told to do yoga!!!
I was a new patient with neck pains for the past 4 years. My Myopractor and chiropractor both told me I had more issues than they could help with. They recommended I see a specialist. I saw this doctor for a whole 5 minutes and was told I had no issues….. very very disappointed. He said to go do yoga. Still dealing with the neck pain daily.

After many years of dealing with multiple lower back issues, I was recommended to Dr. Baig from a surgeon that had done laser spine surgery on my 12 years ago and no longer was helping. My husband and I interviewed several surgeons before meeting Dr. Baig. Once we met him, we had to no longer look. He was straight forward with my problems and advised me on what needed to be done. I was scared but after my first walk in the hospital and having none of the previous pain, I knew we made a good decision. He is incredibly skilled, kind and caring. Writing this I'm 6 weeks after surgery and can't wait to start doing all of the things I couldn't do before. Hiking, exercising and bike riding here I come! We made the right decision with Dr. Baig and am forever grateful.
