Dr. Rafael Cheas, MD

Dr Cheas was there from day 1 until Ashley turned 18. He is the best pediatrician ever!! Very sad day when she wasn't going any longer.

We have been going to Dr. Cheas for years, however new staff and policies are no longer patient friendly and are aimed at staff convenience and keeping billables high vs. patient care. 1) Latest apts are 3:40 PM. Requiring you to pull children out of school even for Wellness Exams. 2) If camps require a signoff that a physical has been performed in the last 24 months, they will require you come in for a new physical even if one has been performed within that time frame, and the new physical scheduling requires that it causes a healthy child to miss school. 3) A $100 rescheduling fee will be applied if you attempt to reschedule, even if there are other apts available that week. 4) If you try to have them send your children's medical records to a new Dr., they will require that the new Dr.'s office request them and refuse to release your children's documents. Even if you request a Medical Record's Release Form. 5) Policies and stories seem to change from discussion to discussion.

I can't say enough about Dr.Chaes and his staff. He is kind, gentle, caring and knowledgeable and this flows over into his staff.

If your looking for a pediatrician, look no further. Dr cheas takes the time to fully understand your concerns about your child. He is very thorough, caring and understanding. One of the best things about his practice is the office staff is very polite and you never have to wait long to see him! He does not overbook and he makes time for his patients! He's a great doctor!

He used to be a great Dr. Things changed about 3 years ago and now he never has time it seems and its like he is throwing darts at a " possible diagnosis " board. He called my son fat & even went to the extreme of pulling over another boy in the hall and telling my son "this is what you should look like, nice and fit" Devastated and embarrassed my son to say the least. Between that , the misdiagnosis & the lack of caring for the very children that pay for his fancy house, I will never go back.

He is an awesome DR, I loved the way he cared for my children!!!

I have been bringing my son here 2 years now. We usually see Marcilynne. This time it was Dr Cheas himself, he barely spoke to my son & decided that he needed to be tested for austism. 'What makes you think he's autistic" The way he was acting. He's sitting with his hands folded in his lap quietly. OH he's not talking, well you're not talking to him. Ok my kid is quiet with new people. You hear that screaming kid in Walmart? Not mine. Apparently that's bad. Oh & he's fat. NO my kid is fine.
