It was like any other visit it was just a little more busy today.

Dr. Kuchtey is very professional. She's excellent at her job.

I have glaucoma & Dr. Kuchtey has been my doctor for maybe 20 years. She does everything in her power & has kept my nerves from becoming any more damaged. I can only describe her as my saviour!!!

Dr. Kuchtey does an outstanding job every time I’ve seen her. She also did 2 cataract surgeries and was perfect. Because of the amount of Drs at Vanderbilt the wait is a bit long.

Highly disorganized. Moved us from room to room with long wait times in between. Took over 4 hours. Doctor was very distracted and barely spent any time with us. We will never go back!!!!

The Eye Clinic is extraordinarily unorganized. We waited FOUR AND ONE HALF HOURS to be seen. We were told condition of eyes was at critical levels and that I must return in a week. Dr Kuchtey’s office never called to make that appointment. My spouse and I both phoned and emailed their office multiple times every day for 2 WEEKS without anyone ever returning our calls. In desperation, we contacted the Ombudsman for Vanderbilt Medical Center. The Ombudsman’s office then had Dr Kuchtey return our calls. The lack of respect for their clients time and inattention to returning calls or answering questions is unacceptable. I’m reluctant to agree to Kuchtey doing surgery on my eyes. Living 4 hours from Nashville, I have no confidence that Dr Kuchtey or her office would return call in the event of an emergency following surgery.

Dr. Kuchtey performed cataract surgery on both eyes and recently removed scar tissue from one eye. She is very knowledgeable in her field, and knows how to establish patient trust: Perform superbly, inform your patient, and coordinate with other health care professional stakeholders. I don’t trust my eyes to anyone else but GOD and Dr. Kuchtey.

This so-called doctor left my wife blind.Of course no one is perfect, and one always hopes for the best but fears for the worst. This so-called doctor I have live to despise since she left my wife basically legally blind-every day of our lives.The big thing is:she said"Everything will be all right,fine",which turned out to be a huge lie, sadly. She should NOT be allowed to perform surgery on ANYONE. Worst of worst.I would never let her even close to my pets for operation.

Waiting times and rudeness of this provider are outrageous. Over 3.5 hours of wait for 5 mins interaction with doctor! Not even a simple apology offered. Rude and disrespectful to patients needs.

When I visit Dr. Kuchtey, she has already considered my case and has mapped out a course of action to the point of proactively anticipating questions and actions of my other eye specialist. She always has time to listen to and answer question. The only drawback with this physician is because she is so good, she is highly sought after so be prepared to wait in the office a "minute or two" before seeing her!
