My surgery went well. The healing process is going smoothly also. Dr Hooper communicated very clearly both before and after the surgery, so I knew what to expect. She is kind and caring. I recommend her very highly!

Dr. Hooper is one of the finest physicians I have ever had. Her professionalism, time and care in explaining my procedure, and her surgical ability are second to none. I would not hesitate in the least in recommending her to perform any procedure. I have the use of my hands back and am pain free! She is phenomenal and an asset to any medical facility she's associated with!

Dr. Hooper took so much time to answer all my questions and my fears. And I was scared. I had a very rare aneurysm in the palm of my hand. I was afraid I might lose the use of my fingers or even my hand. It took me four months and five Dr.'s later to find Dr. Hooper. From the first time I met her, she put my mind at ease. The surgery and the outcome was so much better than I ever imagined. I would recommend her to any of my family or friends. It would be wonderful to have more Dr.'s like her.

I recently had wrist surgery performed by Dr. Hooper, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. She was incredibly kind and approachable, taking the time to thoroughly explain everything before the procedure. Fracturing my wrist and not taking care of it properly resulted in a ruptured thumb tendon which needed attention immediately. After our visit that same day, she was able to get me an appointment for an ultrasound the following day to confirm the rupture. Dr Hooper then made time in her very busy scheduled for surgery late in the day the following week. I'm sure this was an inconvenient time for everyone (surgeon and OR staff), but they accommodated none the less. It has now been 3 months and after 8 visits with the OT's I have full use of my thumb. I'm so grateful for Dr. Hooper and her team at the UM hand clinic. Everyone was so kind and professional.

I hand carpel tunnel surgery, done by Dr. Hopper, on my left hand. Following the surgery there is no numbness or tingling in my hand. Plus there is virtually no scar as compared to my right hand which had the same operation 3 years ago (in the neurology department). But in both cases U of M surgeons did a great job in curing the symptoms.

Dr. Hooper was so compassionate concerning my arthritic condition on my right hand. Having a bone removed, 2 bones shaved, a tendon transplanted, and my index finger pinned so the bones would fuse straight, I couldn't have been in better hands. Her entire staff is welcoming and helpful and follow-up occupational therapy is exceptional. I would highly recommend Dr. Hooper to anyone suffering from arthritic hands!!

Dr. Hooper is an amazingly skilled surgeon who displays genuine care for her patients. From explaining the procedure in a detailed manner and making sure every step of the process is understood, to checking in before surgery to make sure I was comfortable and ready, Dr. Hooper went above and beyond other doctors I’ve encountered. She even personally called the next day to see how I was feeling. Highly recommend Dr. Hooper and her wonderful team at UofM.

Dr Hooper brought to us a conscientious and caring approach that was coupled with an excellent medical diagnosis and treatment!!

I appreciate Dr. Hooper's willingness to consider nonsurgical treatment for my comminuted distal radius fracture and credit her with recognizing that I was a good candidate for that approach. I think most surgeons would have pushed for a surgical repair, which could easily have been justified, and I am grateful for her restraint. Dr. Hooper explained both options clearly and continued to follow up with me until after my cast came off.

I was a scared 80-year-old whose only previous surgery was at age 3. Dr. Hooper was a godsend. She was forthright yet calm and reassuring as she explained the damage to my broken wrist and laid out my options. Her follow-up care re-enforced my trust in her, including her close contact with the OT team who all expressed great respect andl liking for her. I am now back to having full ROM and strength and would not hesitate to put my well being in her capable hands once again.

I don’t want to be so cliche, but I am beyond words more than satisfied. The thoroughness in explaining the process of what I will be experiencing pre-op/post-op was astronomical and second to none. Dr. Hooper without question took extra time and care to listen and address any and all questions, concerns, thoughts and/or opinions I might have during each and every visit or surgical procedure. The professionalism Dr. Hooper has when in communication with my family members was just as astronomical as my personal experience. I most certainly without a doubt no questions asked could not have received a better experience then what I had with Dr. Hooper and her team. I cannot thank ALL of them enough for not only mine and my family’s experience. But the outcome of my post-op.
