Dr. Rachel Goodman, MD

Doesn’t bother to see a patient before jumping to conclusions.

Dr. Goodman spends time with her patients and is very knowledgeable. As a senior I feel grateful to have found her and her great staff—the best. Super trustworthy physician who has my best interest in mind.

I saw Rachel Goodman. I was told the consult was $250. I went in. There was her assistant, not nurse in the room where I was sharing personal details. That threw me. Dr Goodman really didn’t tell me anything new but I decided pellets would be a way to go. So her assistant took me into another room to talk. I didn’t understand why until she shared, after the fact, that Rachel Goodman runs a concierge business which would then cost me $3,000 a year. I was shocked that I was not told this until after the appointment. So they had me go thru an appointment and spend $250 for a consult and never mentioned till after the fact it would then cost me $3K. I would have never made such an appointment. I demand a full refund for not being upfront about all your costsAlso FYI. The family doctor she recommended… cost $5K to start seeing her which is also with Goodman’s practice.

They cancelled on my wife twice (rescheduling over a month later each time). When it came time for our most recent appointment (my wife has Parkinson's and doesn't move very fast in the morning). We called to tell them we were running about 20 minutes late, and if they could still see her and were told to "just come in".before we got in the car to make the 20 minute drive from El Dorado. Once we arrived, my wife was denied her appointment. All three people she spoke to (including the office manager) were incredible officious, cold, and uncommunicative. This is a common problem with many medical offices in Santa Fe, but this was one of the worst experiences we've ever experienced with a Christus St. Vincent health care provider. We can't comment on the medical professionals she was supposed to see, as we never got a chance. This whole ordeal with this office has delayed my wife's treatment for over 4 months. Now we have to find another provider to see her. Unacceptable.

While I started seeing Dr. Goodman a year after I was done having babies, she has been wonderful in her care as I transition to just yearly women's health checks.
