Great Physician
I had TYMPANOPLASTY/MASTOIDECTOMY surgery performed by Dr. Gopen. I am beyond pleased and grateful for the treatment and bedside professionalism by Dr. Gopen and the UCLA staff. He explained the procedure and potential outcome in terms that as a patient, I understood perfectly. My post op appointments have also been great. Thank you, Dr. Gopen!

Scheduling told me to reach out to his MA, Jareth, for further guidance and provided me with her phone number and email. I called more than 10 times and left her voicemails with no response; I had my insurance and the director of our insurance, call her still no response, so I called the complaint line; both ladies there said they would call me back after they found out what's going on, still no response. This lingered on for 2 months until I had my PCP put in an out-of-network request, and my insurance approved it. When I thought I had made a breakthrough and finally was able to see Dr. Gopen, I got a call from the Practice Manager that Dr. Gopen had decided he couldn't see me! Telling me my behavior was inappropriate! I am like, what are you talking about? This is being I haven't even met them?!? I have been suffering from Dehiscence for 5 months, and after passing all the hurdles, What happened to Hippocratic Oath?

Proffesional, caring, highest level of expertise, communicative. This man left his sons birthday party to check up on me. Excellent staff from phones to bedside and follow-up care. High scores in ALL.

Dr. Gopen is a great doctor. He did a repair of my inner ear after Dr. Yang did my craniotomy. Together they make an outstanding team! I highly recommend Dr. Gopen and Dr. Yang.

Dr. Gopen has been of great help with my complex issue. He is attentive, responsive, and willing to do his best to help. I find Dr. Gopen listens with intent and spends ample time in a clinic visit. Emails are answered promptly and attempts are made to avoid traveling through LA traffic to come to a clinic visit. His staff is friendly and will do what they can to coordinate anything you need. I have appreciated Dr. Gopen through my care.
