Dr. Pulin Patel, MD

Dr. Patel was fairly responsive, the horrid treatment I received from the office staff left me no choice but for my husband and I to leave the practice altogether. It became quite clear to me that the office staff views patients as nothing more than money numbers, prioritizing their financial gain with no empathy. I had a simple office to renew my Thyroid medication, an ordinary office visit covered by my insurance. Rinku insisted I pay $125.00 stating my visit was for" non covered services". I made multiple pleas to Rinku, explaining that my copay should only be $30.00. It felt as though I was talking to a wall, as she displayed an utter lack of willingness to understand the situation. Resolving this issue consumed an enormous amount of my time and energy, involving more than 22 phone calls and HOURS of back-and-forth communication between Cigna and Dr. Patel's office. It was only after relentless effort that I finally got back my $95.00 I was overcharged. Beware.

My appointments are always done within reasonable time. The office staff are very professional and pleasant. They are also very efficient. I have been a patient of Dr Pulin Patel for over 15 years. I felt compelled to write this review after reading the negative reviews. The doctor is very knowledgeable and I feel comfortable talking to him about any issues. I trust this doctor and he is caring and concerned about his patients. I would recommend him to all my friends and family. Dr Gandhi is also good. In the beginning I found him to be inexperienced but he is young and getting there. Between the 2 doctors I prefer to be seen by doctor Pulin Patel but that’s just my preference. I hope that Dr. Pulin Patel retires only after I am gone from this earth as I would hate to look for another Doctor.

It’s a factory. The amount of patients they see at a given time is mind boggling. The wait times are horribly long and they are very unapologetic about it. It’s like take it or leave it. The waiting room is very uncomfortable. There were only 4 lame chairs and 7 patients when we got here. No tables to rest your stuff or fill paperwork. TVs don’t work and we were bored to death. Their computers were not working to check in took 15+ minutes. They don’t have any online check in system. Also, they don’t upload any results on your chart online but they are sure to not miss sending a bill. Extremely unprofessional and careless care that I experienced here.

I came for a physical and needed meds due to my diabetes. When I did not receive any info about my meds I called the doctor's office. I was told I had to come in. When I asked why,since I never had to come in before, the receptionist was rude and actually hung up on me. A few days later I received an email stating that they are sending my meds but only for a 30 day supply and that I should look for another doctor. This practice just wants to make money. They charge you for procedures never done and push procedures you don't need or insurance doesn't pay for. Now I have to start to find a new doctor and start all over. These people should be looked into for unfair practices

dissatisfy:- with heavy hearts and with lots of regrets I am writing this email, I just had my recent annual physical completed along with my wife but we were denied for prescription medicine by Dr. Gandhi since I told him that I will go to Eye doctor after pandemic. Is that a legit reason to stop prescription medicine ? we came to your office with high hopes as we moved to Edison from most prestigious Neighborhood, but in two years we had zero medical / primary care related help. We only experienced that money was the only main focus then taking care of patients. My elder mother and Sister who desperately needed help with home aid as my mother and sister both fell in the bathroom but when Param heath care agency requested prescription they were denied stating last visit to the office was in last September which was completely wrong since they had multiple tele visits every quarter including one in last month

Dr Patel is very knowledgeable and friendly doctor, I am very pleased with Doc . He is patient, easy to talk with and very attentive. Dr. patel is one of the first doctors that I feel takes the time to address and explain issues or concerns in detail. He includes you in the plan of care, explains alternatives options and follows up with you. The staff are friendly, helpful when scheduling appointments or calling for insurance authorizations and obtaining paperwork. Highly recommended

Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable, personable, and thorough. One could not ask for more in their physician. He explains very clearly what may be wrong with you and offers precise solutions. There is usually very little wait time if there is one. I am very pleased with his services and that of the staff. I don't believe that you will be disappointed...

Dr Pulin Patel is very knowledgeable and diligent. Great doctor. He has been our family PCP for more than 10 years. He is patient and compassionate. Gives you right advise and the best quality is - does not give you medicines when you don't need it...instead advises you to choose healthy diet and other alternatives.

There is barely any wait when I go into the office. The staff is very friendly and caring. The doctors are very knowledgeable and responsive.
