Very thorough and prompt
My mother was diagnosed with stomach cancer a few months ago. Dr. Patel' staff was prompt in getting us in to the clinic for appointment. He was very thorough and explained the whole situation in detail, explained the options for treatment. Eventually we considered no further treatment and opted for hospice. His waskind and blunt at the same time, did not sugarcoat things and gave us all alternatives so that we were able to decide the best course for my mother.

Negligent Cancer Care
Dr. Patel treated my wife, Nancy, for colon cancer beginning in May of 2021, and ignored rising tumor markers over a 3 year period in blood tests, and delayed ordering a PET scan until Jan 2025, which showed her original colon cancer had spread to pelvis, liver, lungs, and body cavity, and, he told us it was now not curable. A PET scan a year or so earlier may have saved her life. Now we are in a battle for her life with alternative treatments. I believe Dr. Patel has too many patients to be able to adequately care for all of them, and was negligent in her care!

Dr. Patel is very thorough. He is a realist, doesn't sugarcoat things but is encouraging and keeps a positive attitude even when delivering not so great news. He is kind and compassionate, takes as much time as needed and always willing to answer our many questions. He is very knowledgeable and proactive when it comes to treatments/options. Unlike many doctors these days, he even called to check in on my mom's side effects. He clearly assumes responsibility for treatment and is very hands on. Thankful that he is my mom's oncologist.

Very good doctor
Pleasant manners, knowledgeable, responsive. Dr. Patel was my doctor for 5+ years, and I had only one minor complaint: he went on vacation without notice and appointed "his close friend and great colleague" to take care of me. "Close friend" turned out be an awful doctor.

Dr Patel was my oncologist for my treatments which included radiation with oral chemo, surgery, and intervenious chemo and was a good doctor during this time. His post treatment left me some what short changed. The most common side affect of my type of treatment is lower extrimity swelling. This condition concerned him so we went off into the expensive dark hole of test. DVT was negative as well as the echo. I was left with a hefty bill and a "go see a general practice dr. I only know cancer" The whole team was available for him to speak with but I guess he didn't see that as necessary. I quit all treatment after this because I only have so much money and don't know who to trust that I have spent it in the right place. When it's all gone I have to quit spending. Right now I am spending it all for dental since no one told me about dry mouth rotting teeth while under cancer treatment.
