Skilled but rushed
Skilled doc, but seems more and more rushed. Hard to get him to spend time listening to my questions and providing answers or instructions.

He predicted my rare cardiovascular condition that was causing gastrointestinal problems as a side effect and encouraged me to advocate for a specific test that led to my diagnosis. He's thoroughly knowledgeable. He will talk a mile a minute and interrupt you a bit to ask clarifying questions, but I got the distinct feeling that it's only because he found a clue and he was after it with all the enthusiasm of a certain blue cartoon dog on the scent! Dr. Kim seems to love a puzzle to be solved! I've referred a few friends to him, and they have all said wonderful things as well.

I have been going to Dr. Kim for 10 years with no problems. However today I was refused service by his receptionist because I did not have an insurance card. I did have my Medicare card but she refused to accept it because I told her that I have temporary coverage from Blue Cross Care First through an employer. She said I would have to pay the full price of the exam or re-schedule. She would not trust me to fax or email the card to her. My assessment of why she did this is not kind(Out of space)

I have recommended Dr. Kim to numerous friends. He is the only doctor who has taken the time to listen to all of my concerns, and really goes above and beyond to help me. I have had two upper endocopies and one colonoscopy, all of which his staff made me feel very comfortable for. He listens to all of my concerns and never rushes me.

The EGD which Dr. Kim performed gave me extremely abdomen pain. Shouldn't an easy breath test tell the same thing as EGD does but with less suffering? I guess that in this way, I can be charged more! And the medicine was not killing the H. Pylori, but me. After a month, all symptoms seem to come back. Don't go to this doctor!
