While all support staff are excellent at this facility (Mass General Brigham Primary Care in Natick), I had a deeply unpleasant experience with Dr. Basnet. In my second ever appointment with her, she quickly shut down the issue I came in to discuss with her and began berating me and shouting at me. She then insisted I must have a very serious condition based on very little information and proceeded to completely ignore the issue I came in to speak to her about, which has been diagnosed by a previous physician. Like many others have stated, Dr. Basnet is rude, listens poorly, and in my opinion, is downright cruel at times. She shared an inappropriate amount of information about her own medical experiences, which I believe influenced her judgement on my situation. She assumed I must have the same situation she has and used it as an excuse for her behavior while still blaming me for the way she acted. The specialist she referred me to was extremely confused by her assertion that I must have the same serious condition as her as it can only be diagnosed surgically and I do not have symptoms. This interaction has shaken my trust in medical professionals and I genuinely fear some kind of retaliation for sharing this story. Avoid her at all costs, especially for women's health issues.

Dismissive and rude
Dr. Basnet was rude, dismissive, condescending, and made an already upsetting reason for seeing her even worse. She made me feel like my concerns were invalid. Stay far away if you want to feel respected by your provider.

I have been a patient of Dr. Basnet for multiple years. She is listens and provides insightful feedback. I have also asked her questions or needed assistance over the course of year (beyond annual appointments) and she is very responsive. The best primary care physician I have had over the many years.

Most caring and very knowledgeable
Dr. Basnet is a true healer. I find Dr. Basnet to be wise and experienced. I am a PhD educator with over 30 years experience teaching students including nurses and physical therapists and I found Dr. Basnet to be well educated and knowledgeable. I find her to be in the top 2% of medical experts with whom I have met.

Nice and thorough
Dr. Basnet is very nice and takes the time to listen to my concerns. I never feel like she is rushing me out the door. She and her staff are always very responsive, especially via messages on the patient gateway. It can take a while to see her for an annual check-up, but when I've needed her in more special cases, she can usually get me in sooner or I see one of the NPs, who are also great. I'm not sure why Dr. Basnet has so many bad reviews. A lot of people in my town recommend her and so do I.

I had Dr. Basnet for our whole family while she was in Boylston. She was very short, didn’t explain anything or even seem to care what was really going on. I went in and instead of dealing with my issue she sent me to the emergency room to seek treatment. Either she doesn’t care or she doesn’t know how to treat people. She is rude and dismissive!

I recently took her as my new primary care physician and I can only say good things. She 's always been extremely polite and caring. In my past I had a neurology issue, as soon as she knew she went deep and at our second appointment she told me what is absolutely not recommended for me. My dad is a doctor as well as other family members, we live far away, but when I go to a medical check I already had a check with my dad. She always did what was the best for me. And one thing I like about her is that she always makes me comfortable. Until now I like her. ??

Extremely poor. Went for a PE and it was the poorest exam I have ever had - it was brief and incomplete. Employment exams have been better and more complete. Judgemental, rude and said inappropriate comments. Left apt and spoke to Triage Nurse immediately to transfer within practice but no opportunities were available. Did not know what she was talking about. She is 1 star at best!

I have had the privilege of having Dr Basnet for seven years as my primary care doctor. During that time Dr Basnet has consistently shown professionalism and a caring attitude toward me. I've never felt rushed and she's always been there to assist me - even on short notice. I appreciate her low-key approach - it relieves the anxiety of a doctor's appointment.

Like many of her other patients have said I found her to have no concern for my health issues, or needs. She was totally rude and did't take the time to do a basic exam. I wish I found the reviews on her before my appointments. I have moved on to a new Doctor. So happy now, stay clear from her unless you wanted to be treated like trash.

Unfortunately, I share the same complaints as the rest of the reviewers. Nothing more than a speed bump to getting the care I need and is not good with refills for maintenance medication.

I have been with Dr. Basnet for less than 6 months and already very disappointed. She is a general medical practitioner, yet, appears to not want to do any of the work- she appears to be afraid to make decision, prescribe meds, etc. She constantly refers me for something that as a doctor, she should be able to deal with. I will be switching doctors very soon. Please don't waste your time with her.

Havn't been to a doctor in many years as I am healthy, however, with some marital problems I have been strugling with ED. Went to see her...what a mistake! Told me she would not prescribe me viagra. She made me feel as if I was asking her for an opiate or something! I would not have minded seeing some counseling, but she could have at least helped me out temporarily until I could set up some. Very short, didn't listen to me. Another horrible doctor. WE NEED TO TAKE OUR HEALTH INTO OUR OWN HAND

Awful doctor has no right being around people. Abrasive and aggressive. I have also been at Bolton Family Medicine for 20+ years and so has my family. We are all leaving the practice.

I agree with the previous comment made. She was not caring even in the slightest, she was aggressive and abrasive. When I told her she was coming off a little aggressive her response was to say no I'm not I'm a very friendly person. When I reminded her I had to leave by a certain time because I had to get to another appointment with a surgeon for MRI results she proceeded to call me demanding, I had been at Bolton family medicine for over 20 years, so had my mother, we are both leaving now
