If I could give zero stars I would. During the course of 1.5 yrs, I sent Dr 9 messages requesting MRI of pituitary. He refused to answer ignored me. My PCP ordered one, found Ima tumor on my pituitary. Dr S (Stupid) he refused to acknow it said, 9 out 10 people have them, this is nothing. This is after giving this Dr recent blood work 3 out of 5 pituitary hormones are not working ALONG with very low cortisol, DHEA, Testosterone, low potassium, high renin, high prolactin. He refused to acknowledge these labs, they were done at same clinic he has sent me to before. My last visit with him I asked him to help me send office visit notes with diagnoses to my PCP. I don’t see why your PCP needs to know anything. Refused to help me. On this visit, he sat me down, said straight to my face, you have adrenal insufficiency & primary aldosteronism. Then later redacted diagnoses of primary aldosteronism for no reason just so my PCP won’t see it. RUN Do NOT go to this lunatic EXCLAMATION MARK

My experience with Dr Santhanam was great. He listened attentively to me; he carefully explained what he thought was going on as well as the diagnostic plan; and he spent a lot of time answering all of my questions.

If you are or suspect you are suffering from hypothalamic amenorrhea, this doctor cannot help you. He didn’t ask any questions about my lifestyle (e.g. diet, stress, exercise), which are known to be the largest factors in causing HA. He immediately recommended birth control to increase estrogen levels, but this is against the Endocrine Society’s guidelines, which explicitly state that birth control should not be used as treatment for functional HA. He was also rude and would not answer my questions about treating the root cause as opposed to just focusing on one symptom.

Was extremely rude he had horrible bedside manner. His only concern was my weight and ability to have children when I didn't want kids or have a weight issue. As someone who had anorexia previously he encouraged a starvation diet. I don't trust his judgement. I recommend this provider to no one. I am seeing someone else who is so much more kind and helpful.
