Dr. Prajwol Pathak, MD

I truly didn't know what to expect after finding few reviews and learning Dr. Pathak is relatively new to the area... not to mention feeling apprehensive being referred to an oncologist! I arrived at my appointment afraid of what was to come, but Dr. Pathak squashed my fears before the exam even began! He was funny, refreshing, informative, and thorough. He took time to not only answer questions, but he gave understandable explanations without talking down to my husband and me. I truly wish EVERY doctor addressed patient concerns like Dr. Pathak. Thank you Dr. Pathak. It meant the world to a scared woman that day to have such a sweet doctor guide me through my concerns.

I've been anemic all my life and I haven't seen anyone about it since I was very young. Dr. Pathak has been amazing when I comes to explaining my condition and what to expect.

My mother was diagnosed with stage IV cancer of unknown primary she was scared, shocked and sad but Dr. Pathak had zero respect for her as a human person going through something. When she was asking details on how long she’d need treatments he said, “Ohhh yikes, didn’t I tell you that you needed to be on this for the rest of your life?” When she expressed confusion about the process he said, “I’ve never had this issue with anyone else.” Even if he felt annoyed by questions of someone scared, he could’ve at least kindly connected her with a navigator or nurse. We ended up switching oncologists and had a great experience with the new oncologist for the short time my mom had left. That was three years ago but I will never forget how bad Dr. Pathak made my mom and my family feel.

His staff is great, courteous and empathetic. Doctor is professional and mannered, listens and explains in details what is my current status and what is needed to be done and varied means of doing so. Ask me the patient for my input and helps to ease my worries and anxiety. Obviously well informed and trained about his chosen area of speciality and this gives me confidence. I enjoyed the interaction for my visit and will definitely return when possible.
