Sad. Proceed with caution
Lavian prescribed a statin that he was not willing to switch, even though my last 2 visits I expressed clearly that I don't like statins. When I had my personal Doctor call his office, because they wanted more information, not only did her REFUSE to call her back, he would NOT take my 4 calls to his office to ask for a two-minute talk. That's all. Little did I know -- and here's the big thing -- the very day my doc called for more info, he authorized his buddy Eskenazi to take over. Lavian and staff knew 5 days prior to me calling and pleading for help that Lavian will no longer see me. All I wanted was a change in medication -- horrible side effects expressed in person directly to him twice. When I enrolled my doc to ask more questions, Lavian took the easy way out and just let me go as a patient. And then had my insurance assign his longtime buddy Eskenazi. So so saddened.

No patient centered care, doesn't listen, rude
Dr. Lavian doesn't listen, no in-depth explanations, doesn't take good history, visits are rushed, on more than one occasion he was hours late for phone appointments. I was put on an extremely high dosage of medication which I questioned-He didn't explain nor listen to my request to lower the dosage. He refused to reply to my PCP no matter how hard they tried. He pre-judges and treats you as such. This MD doesn't care about his patient or his staff. The way I've heard him talk to his staff told me a lot about him and the atmosphere of the office. I have never had a doctor so narcissistic. Do your homework, I found 2 good neurologists through other medical professionals and friends. I had more than 1 MD who said they will not refer patients to him. Just my experience.

The front office staff were very friendly and accommodating. They did everything they could to squeeze me in for my extreme numbness and pain. Dr. Lavian was very professional and took the time to do nerve testing and get to the bottom of my pain. Overall, I had a wonderful experience in this office. Thank you Dr. Lavian!

Dr. Lavian is a caring and knowledgeable neurologist. He took an extensive history and sympathetically listened to my symptoms. He spent a great length of time explaining my options to me and for that I am thankful. I am now pain free, all thanks to Dr. Lavian.

I went to see Dr. Lavian for numbness. He was extremely caring and professional. He performed a nerve conduction study on the same day as my consult and helped alleviate my numbness immediately. Dr. Lavian is a wonderful neurologist. I highly recommend him.

The young woman at the front desk was quite unprofessional and rushed me through things that could have been completed after the Doctor was finished with his examination. The other female staff members seemed shy, but were helpful and had superior communication skills. Dr. Lavian quickly tested me and shared his initial testing findings, but did not share anything about the unexpected nerve conduction test, nor its results. I received no preparation document in order for me to be informed about what to do, or avoid, prior to the procedure.

Dr. Lavian is too charismatic for me. I didn't like his pompous attitude nor his diagnosis, which I disagree with. As for his staff, they are the RUDEST staff ever. Juliana, has always been pleasant and lovely. But the rest of them, just awful. Also, they did not follow up with 2 of my calls and therefore, I would never return to them for anything.

I didn't like him at 1st because he refused to refill my Imitrex when he heard I suffer from ischemic colitis. He is the only doctor who has informed me of how bad Imitrex can be. He is working with me to get my migraines under control while dealing with other medical issues. Yes, I highly recommend him & he will call you back after hours.
